CCB sells out to a private equity firm and the catador club goes to ****. No Huna tickets, non-exclusive bottles, twice as many to go around. Looking forward to seeing the reactions to BA Big Sound as one of the bottles they get while it's sitting on the shelves.

Thanks a lot Fireman Capital! Can't wait to see Huna 2017 at some football stadium with an 80,000 person attendance.

“Hapax Legomenon” refers to a word or form that occurs only once in a document. And often, it is a word that you’ll find only one time in an author’s entire oeuvre. For example, Shakespeare used the word “satyr” exactly once in all of his writings.

Hapax Legomenon began as a Belgian-style Tripel brewed with rice and aged in gin barrels.Before they became gin barrels, these barrels were used to age bourbon, giving the final beer a unique quality.

After some time in barrels, we blended in some American Grapefruit Sour Ale. The strong grapefruit character from this beer plus the spice from the gin helps to create an interesting “gin and juice” feel.

When it’s all said and done, we think we can safely say that this will be the only occurrence of a gin barrel-aged Belgian-style Rice Tripel blended with an American Grapefruit Sour Ale to be found in our oeuvre.

Hapax Legomenon is 9.4% ABV and is first available for purchase online to El Catador Club members for a period of one week. Any bottles that remain after this period ends will go on sale to the general public in the tasting room. Due to low yield, Hapax Legomenon is NOT a guaranteed El Catador Club bottle.

NOTE: once purchased, your bottle will not be available for pick-up until the order has been processed by CCB. You'll receive an email notification within 24 hours after purchasing indicating that the bottle is ready for pick-up.

Have they been ninja posting extra bottles like this the whole time? I hadn't seen anything about bottles outside of the main 5 releases and the extra glasses. I feel like I may have been missing out...lol.

The only other bottle posted was during sign ups, and it was extras of Da un Beso.

The only other bottle I saw was an extra Da Un Beso at the beginning of EC3. I did check periodically, but never saw anything except that one.

I really enjoyed the Da Un Beso, so I was glad to have a chance at a second bottle. Nothing that's gonna blow your mind, but still quite nice.

Decoherence is outstanding. They had a sixtel on that just kicked sadly. It reminded me of BVDL minus the vanilla, plus coconut and coffee. Two pours later I'm sooooo glad to have a bottle of this lol.

Hapax was also great, definitely sour, didn't get much of the tripel.

Fwiw: I don't like Belgians, triples or quads or the people...but enjoyed it. Great nose. Very refreshing. It was more juicy than I expected and tasted nothing like a triple. I guess that it's a 50/50 blend with grapefruit grove makes sense. Could crush by the pool but lovely depth.

Glad it's not an El Cat beer but glad I bought one if that makes sense.

nah, Facebook dinged us because they realized "El Catador Club" is not a real name for a person. so we have to submit proof that "El Catador Club" is the real name. needless to say, that won't happen, so it'll be changed to a page this week.

My trustee may not be able to pickup my bottles (and glass). Any reputable human (or robot) want to pickup my allotment and keep a couple of the bottles as a thank you? Before you get all crazy, it would be a couple bottles from Lorem Ipsum, Good Gourd Almighty, Opal and I'll even toss in Da Un Beso as an option (Outskirts and Decoherence are off limits obviously).

I suppose I could go the traditional route and just send a few NE bottles as a thank you (if you would prefer this route). I figured this might be a quicker and easier way to get things done though. Shoot me a message to discuss and sorry I'm not sorry for posting this in the most obvious place first.
