So here is my trip wrap up.

Day 1

Three Floyds
The beer was great but that is all I can say about the place. The brewpub is a dump, it's a very werid atmosphere, and the customer service was terrible. I was treated like a crap. This place was what i was most excited about. Very Disappointing.

Revolution
Again, the beer was awesome, brewpub was great, great views of the brewery. Had the bacon fat popcorn dish which was UNREAL! Had a great time

Day 2

Went to a burrito shop right by the school for lunch. IT was great! I could only finish half of it, i can't remember the name of the place.

Drank some beers at goose island, they really do have some great beer there.

Went to Haymark after class, awesome beer, good food. What a beautiful place inside, great layout, the brewery and awesome. Everyone was very willing to talk a little about the brewery and even let you go into each room freely. Dave the asst. brewer was great and talked to us for a while.

Hopleaf - Great selection of beers but wasn't impressed with the menu. I did get the duck reuben which was actually great..

Day 3

Had some deep dish pizza. Again, can't remember the name of the pizza shop but i asked for true chicago style pizza and it was a pizza that had a thin layer of dough on top of it. I thought this was not the traditional pizza? I guess you can get a lot of different answers. But it was great, however, it wasn't as "deep dish" as I had expected.

The publician - A fine dining joint, had a great beer selection, the food menu was not my type. Has stuff like duck hearts and sweatbreads (cow thyroid gland), etc... The place was jamb packed.

Stopped at a Hookah joint, smoked a little, pretty fun and tasty.

Piece Brewing - The beer was great the pizza was HORRIBLE! I would actually have to say that if you went to the store and bought the cheapest frozen pizza, that frozen pizza would taste better then any pizza at Piece. Absolutely Terrible.

Day 4

Had a Chicago Hot Dog and it was great! Then headed home.. Thanks everyone! I had a great time and thanks to you all I was able to explore chicago a little.

Bummer about Piece, and agree with you about the service at Three Floyd's. I got some growlers a while ago and recently went to fill them up as I was heading into Ohio. I bellied up to the bar with the empty growlers and the bartender just sniveled at me and said, "I don't want those, get those out of here." I was somewhat taken aback and he just repeated it, "seriously, get those out of here."

Apparently they don't do growler refills (first place I've ever been to that does this). But he could have been a little nicer about it, like, "Sorry dude, we don't refill growlers - be happy to hook you up with a new one, though!" But that didn't happen. Dickhole.

It's not in Chicago, just outside, but Two Brothers is definitely worth visiting. Someone on this forum recommended it to me, and it has since become one of my favorite breweries.

Also, if you eat there, the habanero sauce is fantastic! It's also not on the menu, I discovered it after giving the owner **** that his wings weren't hot enough :D

Oh! and I almost forgot about the Bavarian Lodge....german food and one of the best selections of beer you'll find in a restaurant :D
