Hello I´m out of caramel 60L and only have 40L, besides the color is there a flavor difference, or can I add the 40L and a little munich?
Im brewing a pale ale wich calls for:
10 lbs 2-row
12 oz caramel 60L
this give me a 8.1 SRM

Thanks

Just use the 40, no biggie. It'll be a bit lighter in color and won't have as much caramel malt flavor, but it will be very similar. Cara 40 and 60 are different, a bit, but can be used interchangeably.

Yes, go for it. 40L would be great in that recipe, as would Munich.

40L and 60L are different, obviously, but their contribution to that beer will be similar.
