Pitched a big starter to 5 gallons of 1.060 yesterday and just realized I forgot to aerate. I normally use pure O2. Things are just not taking off like it should. Can I give it a blast of O2 now or would this cause issues???

Thanks.

According to the Yeast book I'm reading right now, sometimes with bigger beers it's a good thing to give the wort a little extra aeration 24-48 hours after pitching. Even though you're not making a high gravity beer, I can't see how it would hurt to hit it with some 02 at this point. Might even perk those yeasties up....good luck.
