I have read this post on yeast washing: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f163/yeast-washing-illustrated-41768/
And the poster boils the water with the jars inside the pot. I would like to clean the jars separately and boil the water without them.
Can I just use active oxygen (that's what we use in Europe instead of Star-san) and rinse the jars for a few minutes and boil and cool the water in a pot seperately? I think it wont make a difference, but at least I wont have to have the hassle of having the jars inside that boiling water. Once the water cooled down, I can pour it into the jars and put them in the fridge.
What do you guys think?
