OK everyone im brewing a hard cider

Im a n00b at this and its my first time brewing the cider - I have Campden Tablets (KMS) from NB and was wondering with using apple juice (No preservatives i know) how many i need and how much water i need to blend the 2 together to add to the Apple juice in the bucket? I dont want to add too much water so was wondering if its like a cup ... 2 cups etc

Also with the cider when i add the Campden MIX do i stir it ... than am i good to rack it into the carboy - im mixing in the 5 gallon bucket and plan to put it in the carboy than give it 24 hours before pitching my cider yeast
(I can just dump the cider yeast down the neck of the carboy right?) <--- doing this unless i hear other wise.

Any help would be greatly appreciated - as i am sanitizing my gear now lol.

When I make apfelwein, I just sanitize the carboy and pour the apple juice straight into it. No campden....

Is your juice fresh squeezed from apples? or store bought? Store bought is probably pasteurized and doesn't strictly need camden to kill wild yeast. Fresh squeezed from apples, then yeah campden is needed.

Wife is at the store now askign about the juice no its gona be just store bought APPLE JUICE since Cider isnt in season ... am i ok to skipp the campden tablets and pitch yeast now ?

If the juice is already pasteurized (as far as I know all store bought juice is) then you don't need the Campden. Campden is for fresh-pressed unpasteurized cider to kill off any wild yeast present. You don't need it for the store bought stuff.

Thanks everyone - About to brew this up - I think ill save the tablets .... on second thought maybe use them for practice ..... on 3rd ill just pitch ..... GRRRRR ....

OK IDK ill see where im at when i get things sanitized - SO there is no purpose if its pastured ?

Use a funnel to add you yeast. Reserve some of the apple juice to rinse all the yeast into your carboy.

Darn Wish i had read this before I pitched last night - I didnt use a funnel I just let my 6 yr old pour it in and than cap it. But next time i think ill do just that. Save what i use in the hydrometer to wash all the yeast out and into the cider.

Thanks for the info. I cant wait for tonight hopefully there is some reaction going on.
