This is also worth noting - apparently releases have turned into people getting extremely drunk, falling on the ground, and making of a mess of their surrounding area. We should be better than that, especially since the police gave us the okay to illegally drink while we waited.

100% this. Enjoying a beer in line because the police were really cool and let it go is great. Getting sloppy overnight and leaving a mess is crap. The people from Bullfrog were doing a great job cleaning up after people but they shouldn't have to. Likely just ruins that part for everyone next time.

The worst was watching people right next to me placing bottles and **** on the ground, and just leaving it here. Not even making an attempt to throw it away. They just put their chairs away in the morning and queued up in line. It was like...WTF.

Here is a copy pasta from my post on BA (since it will likely be deleted and many here dont look over there)

Considering the amount of time we all were waiting in line, it was easy to get familiar with the faces around you. Add to that, the continual looking ahead to see if the line was moving. One of said individuals (large italian looking persons) was wandering back through the line and stopped with us. One in our group asked him "so how is it inside?" And he just shrugged his shoulders. 20 minutes later he was still standing with us and we asked him what he was doing since he was one of the first couple people in line. He said something to the effect of "im here with him" and pointed to a random person infront of him. It wasnt until we finally got into the door that we realized he was buying an allotment again.

Just from talking to folks I ran into, I was shocked to hear the accounts/stories from the night before.

People actually met/approached random people on the street and bought them memberships so they could get a second allotment on friday... Let me say that again. Someone paid a total stranger 150 to join the pub club, an additional 205 for the bottles then gave them more money and/or bottles as a thank you. Then, same person arrives early in line, gets a 3rd allotment and then considers going to the end of the line to purchase a 4th but decides not too because "its too long of a wait." Let me be the first to kindly say **** you on behalf of every honest person who waited patiently in line to buy their only allotment.

What a ******* astonishing display of greed. I dont understand how people can essentially **** in the faces of 300+ people behind them in line and be perfectly ok with that. Im dumbfounded by this. I love these grrrz bottles that Bullfrog is pumping out but if this is the way future releases are, im done. Something has gotta change.

Im happy to say that the folks I hung out with left our area in better shape than we found it. I had an empty box that I filled with other peoples garbage and walked it to the dumpster...yes, that makes the entire situation that much worse because a dumpster was feet away from the line that formed and went back by the mural

What really amazed me were the people that tried to get 2nd allotments on Friday by relining. 100 allotments with like...500 pub club members. Not that anywhere near that many of them were in attendance, but still...let some other paid members get a crack, fellas.

What really amazes me is when people drive hundreds of miles in a conversion van to buy up entire releases of beers for "their friends" forcing breweries to change their own rules on how they handle selling beer onsite.

Do you know all of this to be true? Or is this just what people were saying?

I was in line both days and heard a lot of people making statements about things they thought they saw, but a lot of what they said was bs and the rumors grew as the night and beers went on.

I can also tell you we cleaned up our area and I think it sucks that people just leave their crap on the streets for others to deal with. Come on people just clean up after yourself and be respectful of those around you!

Also I need to find the names of those around 10th in the line, thanks for some amazing bottle shares and hope to run into you at a TH release soon!

Uh didnt you post a picture of two sets of bottles like three pages back on Friday afternoon? Personally I don't care how many sets people got on Friday, however you look like a fool complaining about people acquiring two member sets when you obviously did something similar to what you are bitching about.

In b4 "u thredshitting I helped orphans who couldn't make the relase lock thread pls" and then you are ignored.

Patrick and I put up our bottles together for one picture. It was a combined haul. That's not all mine. I mean, I ended up with two sets because I got one set with my Pub Club membership, and one from general admission...but that shouldn't be an issue.

And I don't look like a fool. You do when you obviously make assumptions and then make statements like this when you clearly don't know what the **** you're even bitching about.

Just saying dude. I mean...I have pictures showing 100 bottles of HandFarm on a table at Tired Hands for a release...it doesn't mean it's all mine...or the other 20 people's...all of whom took and posted the same picture.

I ended up with two sets total for the weekend.

Soooooo about that conversion van you rented...

It is a little rich to be appealing to some sense of what is "right" and be saying "give someone else a chance" when you bought two sets, regardless of whether or not you're within the "rules." No judgement for *buying* two sets, but don't try to get up on some moral high horse afterward. You sound like a prick.

I can't believe that someone has a conversion van that is capable of driving hundreds of miles. Hopefully mom gets a good gift today for allowing said person to borrow her vehicle.

Bottle share at the 3rd street brewery was a great time. Thanks for coming everyone....and bringing some cool beers for all to enjoy.

Thank you for having us. It was a great time and nice to meet you!

From the BA thread on this, oh man:

Is it just me or are all the "FT: Grrrz set" offers in the trading forum only diminishing the value of these beers? And I dont just mean trade value but taste value as well. If people keep trying to trade them away doesn't that appear to others that the beers might be overrated? I was able to get a full allotment and have every intention of drinking all of them (after 10 hours in that line it seems insane to me to trade them) but all these FT offers seem a little excessive. Thoughts?

My mom was out of town, so I was on my own to eat. I ended up eating lunch at a Vietnamese pho restaurant and was one of 4 people in the medium-sized place. No one takes their mom to eat Pho on mother's day.

Ive seen stuff like this in one shape or another at many of the releases Ive been to over the years. Nothing new or shocking unfortunately. The earlier the line starts, the more drunken mess there will be.

So did you kick the line cutter out or what?

Physically kick? Negative.
Verbally call out and make said individual as uncomfortable as possible? Yes but we/I could have made it more obnoxious had the "not give a **** anymore" senses engaged. Big thanks to my copilot for talking me into staying in line. Once the clock struck 10:30 and we still were not around the corner of the building I considered abandoning my spot and just leaving.

Its amazing how lack of sleep, partial hangover and pesty nats in your beard can drive a man to doing/not doing irrational things. Here we are 2 days later and I still cannot make up my mind if it was an OK time or if I hate myself for going.

Can the mods change the forum rules so I can "like" these statements an unlimited amount of times?

This is called "laying the smackdown" on a guy who hasn't the first clue what the hell is going on, what the hell is supposed to go on, and what the hell things used to be like before guys like him joined the club.
