After the mess with the pub club release I'll skip tomorrow. It's going to be nuts. One less person in line for you guys. Good luck everyone!

So...please tell me it's just someone talking nonsense that there are infection issues?

just general pre-release trolling

I figured it was just trolling.
I have no dog in this fight because I would never go to a release like this, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if there were infection issues. Bullfrog sends a ton of their sour draft-only beers to Philly and the vast majority are terrible, with some being completely undrinkable due to various flaws. I don't like to send beers back, but have done so a few times with BF sours. That said, all of the Grrz I've had has been stellar, so who knows.

Haven't had the Grrz, but was surprised by the reaction to this release for the same reasons you stated above.

I think people just really like the beer name and that's what generates the majority of the hype.
I mean, it's fun as hell to say, try it using a sassy lion voice for extra fun.

Please tell me you're not serious... if you are, look in the mirror... you are what is wrong with beer these days... going crazy about a release of a wild ale and saying you're scared because you heard it was infected. Do you have any idea how ignorant that sounds?

Calm down, Buddy :)

I was referring to the way they can turn into that "band aid" type junk, It has happened to me with my first time trying Hommage way back when and then i tried another bottle and understood the hype.

Sorry that it wasn't clear. Geez. You guys get serious in this forums!

Some one open a Crime of Passion and report back. Only hard facts please. No rumors. ;)

There will be a bottle share tonight at the production brewery. We will meet at 9 (space needed here) pm at the pub. Anyone interested is welcome. bring a glass. Excuse the lack of capitalization and punctuation please. I'm posting this from my phone.

This thread is facepalm central. I would just like to add that the term infected is more ambiguous than people realize. Sour beer absolutely can have unwanted bacteria in it, i.e. "infection".
