Probably not exactly the right forum for this, but does anyone know how the older anniversary beers are drinking these days? I have a Cuir that I'm thinking of bringing to a friend's bachelor party this weekend.
Yeah, only going with the regular version, unfortunately. I haven't been huge into the anniversary beers, but it'll be interesting to try one with three years on it.Last I recall, BA Coton and BA Cuir were both holding up better than their 25/75 counterparts, although Cuir was definitely better than Coton. It's been six or seven months though so not sure where they are right now.
At the very least, it will be solidly drinkable (as long as you haven't stored it at 85* or something). I wouldn't go in expecting a transcendent experience but it probably won't be a dud.Yeah, only going with the regular version, unfortunately. I should just drink Nelson anyways.
Has anybody tried Atomic Kangarue? Hoping to see some feedback one way or another before I order my bottles.

I had it on Sunday at the tasting room. I liked it. Nothing overly spectacular but good. I bought all 4 of the allocation
So the bruery is doing a collaboration with stone?
Totally agree. Good, but not particularly memorable. Befuddlement, on the other hand, is outstanding. I was really blown away by it. The anniversary ale really helps add body and a "stickyness" for the jammy boysenberries to coat your palate. Dry and super drinkable.
how sour would you say befuddlement is

Barely. At least as I judge it. From someone who has just gotten in to sours in the last few months, its a hint of sitr, a ton more boysenberry, and that sticky jammy feeling Heatwaves is talking about.
I had the same thoughts. Some Bruery beers, like Oude Tart w/ Cherries, are complete sour bombs. Others have a lot of acetic qualities. I thought this was lightly tart and I didn't get any vinegar notes. Reminded me of a richer, more full-bodied Bottleworks XII.
This is the Bruery, everyone knows everything at exactly the same time. If they announce one, it'll get posted here within minutes.Any word on any more cellar sales?
First year in the society, wasn't sure if there was a cadence set for cellar sales. Judging from your response, I would say not. This is the Bruery, everyone knows everything at exactly the same time. If they announce one, it'll get posted here within minutes.
There isn't. I don't think my first year had any cellar sales at all. They're just to test the website.First year in the society, wasn't sure if there was a cadence set for cellar sales. Judging from your response, I would say not.
Hilarious. I'm starting to wonder if they're doing this on purpose just to see how much ******** people will put up with. Not sure, but they took the months down on the society page indicating when to expect each beer.
Happy September Society Members! Due to today being a holiday, this month's allocation email will be arriving to your inbox one week from today. We hope everybody out there is enjoying a favorite craft beer today.
