I've been fermenting under pressure for quite a while, with a Fermzilla and Kegland spunding valve. But this Brewbuilt spunding valve is next level. I'm planning to brew in the next few days and I could use a little walk through by someone that's been there done that. I understand how to assemble the whole set, I'm not sure if I should put it on one of the 1 1/2 TC ports on the 8" lid or on the 1 1/2" TC port on the 4" TC port that's in the 8" TC lid. :). I'm likely to put it in the 4" as it higher. Also a little confused by the piece opposite the gauge. Picture for perspective.

The piece opposite the gauge is a PRV. We used them on 10 BBL and 20 BBL fermenters. You already have a PRV on your lid and a spunding valve, so it is pretty redundant. Might put an elbow on that side to attach the spunding valve to and have a butterfly valve on top to give you access to dry hopping with a hop bong or other various items.

The big cylinder with the holes is an extra redundant redundancy. The big TC lid has a built in emergency PRV. The spunding is your next PRV that is adjustable (the one on top with the sanitizer cup) and then the side one is just a big piston back up in case everything else gets clogged.

The side one had me confused. BrewBuilt is not very forthcoming with documentation. That thing is humungous. I’m going to try everything out this weekend. I ran the X3 with water at 50 degrees for two days temp stayed constant, so the Max2 seems to ok. With front controllers off rear controller is stable at 2.3c.
Thanks, jw
