Brew pot ?

It is my day off and I was going to try and do a double batch today. Both of them would be a partial boil. I have I 22quart stainless brew pot, but I was curious to know if I could use my 30qt canning pot. The thing I was concerned about with it is that coating they put on it. Would it be safe to use it, I really don't want to drop more money today on another piece of cookware.

If you are talking about the black/white flecked porcelain coating on most canning pots, it should be perfectly fine for using.

That's exactly what I am talking about..... I should have done more research before i posted this thread.

i use a tamale steamer, with similar coating, works great!

As long as the coating it isn't chipped or damaged, you are more than good to go.

Heck mine even has chips in the coating and I've been drinking the beer for almost a year. Hasn't affected me none. . .
