I have the txbrewing.com 15 gal kettle and it's been a great kettle so far. It's not quite as heavy duty as its higher priced competition but it works very well, handles the heat well, hasn't scorched anything and cleans up easily. The welded ports are great too, no worries about leaks. Just my opinion. I'll be grabbing 2 more for my single tier build.

Correct, no tri-clad bottom and handles are spot welded. 6 spot welds for each side of the handle, 12 total per handle.

They also have a plain 15 gallon version for just over $100. That's perfect if you want to DIY a little bit. I guess it doesn't matter what they list the price as though... Until they're available.

Will I have any problem boiling with my turkey fryer burner?

I had a turkey fryer burner that had a big lip on it. That prevented me from using any kettle with a ball valve on it. Something to double check before brew day...
