For months, I have been trying to develop a label and a over all theme to my brewery. I have had help from the site too and its been great. The first of the year I file for my brewery license. However I still do not have a label in hand. In my research, artist require about $750 bucks per label and I just dont have it. I think the label is just about as important as the taste of the beer. With that said, I want to develop an entire marketing package.
My brewery name is Washingtonians Brewing Company. Monunmental Tripel

I like this logo. I think its working in the right direction.
Thanks for helping me brainstorm!!!

Sadly the label is more important than the taste of the beer, think gold-plated turd.... I wish it wasn't so, but people are to blame. I think it is a great logo. Would make an excellent neck label, or an added image to any label front. Even caps would be good for that one. Me likey.

I think that's great label. I remember a while back you were kicking around some ideas and I think the final product is great! Congrats!

!

When you say "I think its working in the right direction" does that mean you're still looking for possible ideas or have you settled on that logo?

I am still looking for ideas. I do not feel it is 100%. Do you feel like it is 100% ready for the market?

Is the label going to be BLUE .... and RED .... and .... GREEN?

standing in an aisle full of beer, I think that the bold font of the huge letters will be beneficial in a swarm of color and smiling inanimate objects, and I think that the graphic is almost there. What's the design idea about the different sized letters and positioning?

Actually I was thinking a orange color. Sunkist orange actually.

Well, I think that's a question only you can answer. I was asking if you were still looking because an idea popped into my head while reading this thread and if you were still looking I'd show it to you.

Thizzwit, that is a rockin' label! It sticks with the theme, it's crisp, clean lines give it a very pro look, it's bold yet simple; classy. Nice work! Regards, GF.

As a marketing consultant I can tell you the company logo will only take you so far. Think of how you want your company to be perceived and positioned within both the market and within the industry. Where is there a hole in the competitive product lines which will allow you to enter into the market? Once you identify the market need, position your company to fill the need. Lets face it the market place is not clamoring for more brewers. In the current economy there are fewer dollars available for the purchase of nonessential items such as upscale beer. However, for those who have the financial ability to purchase an upscale beer a current market does indeed exist. The down side to the market already being established is the market size is set. The addition of one or 30 more breweries is not going to increase the market size. Therefore you must position your company in such a manner as to make it memorable and distinctive from your competition as you have to take business away from your competitors to enter into their market.

Once you properly position your company, start on your packaging. Supermarkets will not give valuable shelf space to products that do not sell. Likewise bars only have room for a finite amount of taps and a finite amount of cooler space. Next to the actual taste and quality of the beer, which I am presuming will be top notch, your packaging should be colorful and eye catching. You need something that will make your brand become top of mind when a beer drinker is looking for a high alcohol content beer.

Good Luck with the new venture. Feel free to PM me if you need to discuss anything in greater detail.

Could not have said this any better. I to am a consultant. I am working on my masters in Market Advertising now. I do like what you have said, its right on point. Also, the new look to the logo is good. I do like it, my only concern from an advertising stand point is that it's too bulky. Simplicity is key in an over-saturated market such as this.
