Do I need to add priming sugar for a 4 week old afelwein in the fermenter that I want to bottle? Or is there enough sugar left to carbonate the afelwein without adding it?

You need to add sugar to carbonate it- the fermentables should have already been fermented by this point. Check the SG to make sure it's done before bottling, though, just to make sure you don't get bottle bombs!

Man you wanna bottle your apfelwein after only 4 weeks? Mine doesn't see the inside of a bottle for at least 6 months, and doesn't get opened for at least another 6. Noone I know will even put it to their lips if it hasn't mellowed at least 6 months.

+1, mine is at 6 months and is great. can't wait to taste it at 1 year. I bottled at 3 months I believe.
