i kegged my first batch last week. i was planning on waiting another week before i cool it and try it.

i would like to bottle 12, so i can hide 6 and give 6 to friends.

when is the best time to do that. should i wait a few weeks so everything settles, or should i do that right before i get it cold?

thanks

For your purposes...bottle after your pints clear up. At least for me, the first 4 or 5 pints from a keg are significantly more cloudy than the rest.

It'll need to be COLD and freeze your bottles too. See the BMBF sticky for Step by step instruction.

i heard that getting beer cold and then warm again and then cold messes with the taste. will this affect my beer?
once i bottle it i wanted to store one of the 6packs.
