Got a True Brew German Style Light kit for Christmas. It's spent the last 14 days in the bucket. FG has held steady since Friday at 1.011, so I bottled it today. I wasted some, by not siphoning all that I could, and by not have the drain tightened enough (big mess, but oh well). The sample for the FG tasted pretty good, so I'm real exited to see how it turns out. I guess another couple of weeks in the bottle, and we'll see.

I think I'm going to try the True Brew Wheat next time. I'll stay with the recipe kits for a while, learn from it, and try some recipes later.

I think I like my new hobby.

Sounds good so far. Just have to tighen the spigot just right. It should be snug, but not tight. Tighten it too much,& the seals squeeze out of position & it'll leak. Just like if it were too loose. I have spigots on all my fermenters,& at bottling time I can tip it slightly to rack nearly all the beer over to the bottling bucket. Little to no trub transfer.
