If her daddy's rich, take her out for a meal. If her daddy's poor, just do what you feel.

- Mungo Jerry, In the Summertime

This was the first line that came to mind. I know it’s not very PC but it’s a song with a fun tune and it’s from a “peace and love” era so I’m going to take a charitable interpretation.

Also, not very PC...
On the other end of the 'peace and love' theme.

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to, so that when they turn their backs on you, you'll get the chance to put the knife in

Pink Floyd - Dogs
Most of the lines I'm thinking of come from Pink Floyd :)

"If we didn't have these codes of love, of tokens and positions
We'd find ourselves as lovers still, not tokens of possesions."
Smother Love - Crass

Really almost impossible to pick just one*, but what the hell let's go with a little Bobby Zimmerman...

I ain't sayin' you treated me unkind
You could've done better, but I don't mind
You just kinda wasted my precious time

*edit - and just to prove the point, a lot of people would say it's not even the best line from that song...
