Hey everyone,

I'm trying to put together a recipe that has a pretty good hop character on top of a belgian slightly-fruity profile. I've been really into beers like Ommegang BPA and Lagunitas Little Sumpin.

Most of the recipes I've seen look something like:

Grain:
6 lbs extract (Pale or Pilsner or both)
~3lbs of a combination of: Caravienne Malt, Crystal, Amber DME, Belgian Aromatic, Belgian Caramunich, Biscuit etc.

*Does anyone use flaked wheat in their BPA's?

*I've seen a lot of recipes with different syrups in the boil.

Hops:
Kent Golding, Saaz, Styrian Golding, Cascade, Amarillo seem to be the forerunners.

Yeast:
Something Belgian: Belgian Wit, Belgian Ale, Belgian Ardennes, etc.

What do you guys prefer? What worked for you in a similar brew?

I'm planning on taking recommendations on hops that work well in this kind of beer and then later use a calculator to plan IBU. What do you think would be a good IBU for this kind of beer? I'm leaning towards the higher end.

Thanks for your response, folks.
