Cool idea I had but your probably too late in the process to change it: Use plexiglass as your front cover and put some sort of cool colored light behind it so that it lights up the whole panel inside and out.

Yea youre not the first to suggest it. I think the lime green cable sleeve has everyone in the mood for some PC modding.... including myself.. I hate you guys :mug:

Pretty sure you're going to have to paint it like your favorite flavor poptart
I used some mad photoshop skills to make this awhile ago, might have to print it and put it in the brewery when its done.

When you finish your panel I will ship you a box of MDPC-X and my ATX cables and you can help me finish a project I can't seem to spend time on lately!

On a side topic, I know a lot of people are mounting touch-screens into their control panels. I have always thought a better approach would be to mount a charging dock for a cheap tablet onto the front of the cabinet. Then you could either tap away on the tablet while it's hooked to the cabinet, or you could lift the whole thing out and carry it around while you brew.

With BCS you're communicating wireless anyway. A Kindle Fire barely costs more than the rPi that people are buying for their touch screens and it comes with a nice 7" screen. They make "wall" mounts that would work fine for holding the tablet on the panel, and you could just run a USB charging cable through a grommet.

Depending on how you run your processes and what you want to see on the BCS, a 7" screen is pretty small. I personally use a 21.5" 1920x1080 screen so that I can see things from quite a distance away. It also makes it easy to do the touchscreen functions since you can fat-finger the controls and not have to be so accurate.

Yea the plan is to brew with my 10" fire tablet. If that proves to be a pain for w/e reason i will probably pick up some junker comp for the garage.

alright paint purchased. stain for the stand purchased. its gonna be a smell day tomorrow. good deal I have a respirator.

Seriously never thought about how much work goes into making one of these systems. Getting lots of respect for the crazy systems people have out there.

32 high 24 deep 48 wide all pine 2x4 and 1x4 took almost exactly 10 of each to make the grain mill stand and the brew stand I can get you more pics of specific parts if you need or want.

That's okay, can't wait to see it plumbed out. I asked because I was doing some dimension figuring for my set up not to long ago, I came up with the exact same dimensions as yours.

Gotcha. Yea im excited too. Weather providing my pump and hose will be here tomorrow so I can get it mostly shelled out.

got super screwed by signature required bs, and since I have a job I wasn't home at 2. So might not be getting package for awhile since i told them to hold at the bloody store but they say it wont be there till wed, but we are leaving town to go suffer at the inlaws all week so might not be for a complete week before I can pick it up. fml
