I checked out the Alvarado St event at Ale Arsenal yesterday. Can't remember who (theLostWizard? bugdoc?) was praising their beers recently, but holy hell their goses were so good! When I thought it couldn't get any better than the tayberry gose, I tried the strawberry kiwi gose and my mind melted...liquid starbursts.

The secret haole punch tap was a nice treat. I'm excited that these guys are showing up along the peninsula and I definitely want to make it down to the brewery soon.

Nice!

Are they canning this stuff? Saw a photo of some cans at Winchester?

Yeah, the previous canned beers made it to some places up here both on the peninsula and in the east bay.

Was considering taking the girlfriend to the Gilroy Garlic Festival on Saturday, maybe a totally dumb detour to Salinas if they've still got cans left.

these were gone by lunch today, didn't think they'd sell out that fast. some were on hold though, so that seems to be the move if you can't get there right away.
Where'd you try buying them? Plenty of Boysen at CBS just a minute ago. No Haole Punch or IPA though.

Edit: only Boysen still available at Good Hop.

Anyone else at Alpha Acid today? The Vanilla Rye Barrel Constrictor was preeeeeeetty ******* good. I'd put it on par with Vanilla Rye. If you get a chance, head over there to get a bottle or try it on tap.

Their other beers are quite good too. Too bad it's such a pain in the ass from the east bay.

Story pls

Well, my past escapades start here: http://www.talkbeer.com/community/t...d-release-events-multi-state.2526/#post-95767

As for AA, I've pissed off one of the higher-ups (@largadeer). Hint: I was behind @largadear, @lardadeer, @largedeer, @largaderp, @mangodeer on BA in ~2009, but not @largerdeer. I've been told from a few people that he still holds a grudge, so I try not to go there and give him PTSD. In fact, I think I've angered just about everyone in the Bay Area that was on BA from 2008-2013, so I just quietly retired and stopped going to bars / tastings. :p (Well, that and I don't drink much beer anymore.)

@largaderp may be my favorite account that I ever created. Little ****** loved haikus.
