Can anyone vouch for any Ft. Point offerings? Just learned they have a spot in the Ferry Building. Also, anyone know if they do fills? I got a poker game tonight and an empty growler on hand.

They do fills at that location. Not sure what their policy is on growler types.

Most of their stuff is average.

If you're gonna be by the ferry bldg might as well go to cellarmaker to get beers
I work in the Embarcadero Center and live in Concord. I considered going back to Powell (BH) of Civic Center (CM), but I thought I'd try something different. Plus, I'm going grab some bottles and cans at the little market in the FB anyhow.

I am in the area today, likely grab lunch at Ferry Building before jumping on BART. Might check out Fort Point quickly.

Stopped by Novel on San Pabs yesterday. Gose was pretty tasty, IPA and wheatwine were meh. Saw they had some barrels and one guy working there (seemed like he was a brewer if not THE brewer) said they filled two of the bourbon barrels with their forthcoming imperial stout (8% abv before going into barrels) and the remaining will be used for some yet to be determined, probably non-fruited sour. So they aren't doing great things yet, but good to see them diversifying.
8% stouts in barrels in my experience turn out to be **** and high probability of infection. I have no hopes for that beer even being good.

I think Fort Point is generally pretty good and Park really solid, but not sure if filling a growler makes sense or just grabbing a six pack would be better in terms of the price. I guess their beers aren't necessarily exciting, but I think they're good.

Park is almost certainly their best beer. I've been quite underwhelmed by everything else.

Fair enough. But maybe that is just a function of the styles. Not sure I've ever been excited about a kolsch or an amber ale. But they're good, and if I'm spending money on a beer, I'd rather it be a good beer (presuming it's a style I enjoy in some fashion) than a trendy/exciting beer that is total balls.

And yeah, the artwork is money.

I've had cans of KSA with some pretty significant diacetyl/butter taste. If they were flawlessly executed, I would have fewer hesitations about them. But you can't release German styles that aren't clean.

Brewery has a sweet location. Right off of Crissy Field. When I lived in the area, they had or still have an industry night on Mondays. Killer view of the Golden Gate Bridge right from the roll up door.

"He's so haole he doesn't even know he's haole."
If we ever meet IRL, first beer's on me for the North Shore reference.
