Went to anchor thing Tuesday. I am a hard core anchor fanboy but I sort of wish they would stick to their classics and not dabble with the meyer lemon mumbo jumbo or try to push their IPA, etc.... but the port barrel stout is nice. Its understated on the port barrel for sure but I realized it would be nice to actually drink a pint of it compared to the sugar mud BA stuff that wears out its welcome after 3-4 oz. Too bad ill probably never find it on draft.

Seems like most people were passing on bottles so I wouldnt be surprised if they are available in the gift shop for future tour groups.

The bottles were all hand painted by people on the bottling line... pretty nice touch!

****. Missed one another. Was there around 6.

Thought the beers at Black Hammer were fine, but I haven't made it a point to go back with any frequency since I'm not really interested in $20 "flights" of four average beers.

Does Bartlett Hall do tasters/flights these days? I went early on when they only had two beers and it was buy a full glass or nothing.
They do tasters/flights. I think it was $13 for 5oz pours of everything.

Also, apparently the growler prices aren't what I posted earlier. $19 for a 64, not $12. Knew it was too good to be true. Unfortunately I didn't find out until after filling both my growlers. One of "Flower Shop IPA", and the other of "Hop On Hop Off" (pictured). I tried the DIPA, which was reminiscent of the modern New England DIPA, with a little more sweetness (not malty-sweet) on it.

Torpedo Room update: now open until 9 (instead of 8) Tue-Sat, they'll fill other growlers as long as they're the same shape (32 & 64oz fliptops), and they'll fill the 32oz growlers with their BA beers. Not bad!
Pretty lame torpedo room gets all those cool perks while Chico gets ****.

I have no recollection of this and really dislike Underberg, so I think you might be thinking of someone else!

I think you texted someone who knew (?) for me a long time ago at SARA (we were both at SARA at the same time, so it must have been a really long time ago).

Went to Temescal yesterday, and Basic Batches: Motueka was the ******* ****. Best beer they've made by a long shot, and if they can keep that up then it'll be ON. Where is Brooklyn? is a different thing than they normally do (cherry lime berliner) but super nice on a warm-ass day. I am no longer cautiously optimistic, I think Wade will figure this **** out and they'll be a destination.

(Also, once again there was no line for Bakesale Betty's. Chicken sammich + beer = fan-*******-tastic Saturday.)

Agreed on the Where Is Brooklyn? I also enjoyed the Mild. What time were you there? I was sat at the bar about 2 o'clock.

I went about a week ago and I'll second that Motueka was banging. I tried a few together and that was the only one that stood out.
