Acknowledged, and I am the worst, srs.

I stopped at 21st Ammendment today, weird experience. Huge space, 5 billion cans of Bitter American cans block off the view and a bag of ***** on tap. Walked in, looked around, left.

I'm going to be hitting up a few East Bay spots tomorrow early afternoon with a friend visiting from out of town, maybe start at Fieldwork, Rare Barrel and work our way south. I'll post when we're heading over if anyone wants to join!

Did that today, actually. Also stopped by Torpedo Room. Tap list was so so, but they had a ton of the new barrel aged bottles and were doing free pours of them.

Ooo, did they have the Maillard's Odyssey?

I finally got around to going to Rare Barrel yesterday for the first time. Pretty cool place. I guess I will be going more because I was able to get Ambassadors next year

All I wanna know, is, besides the vague message on their website, does anyone know any info about Black Friday at CBS? What variants, approx cost, etc?

The earlier you get in line, your likelihood of access to variants, out of pocket costs, and stabbiness increases.

CBS will most likely have all the variants and will charge the max for them, especially the ones that come in a box or tin.

I for one will be thinking about 2nd thanksgiving.

You generally won't know until you walk through the door at CBS. Plus the new format screams of Maximum Price Gouging, don't get your hopes up this year. Might want to think about saving the $$$ and pouring it all into Parabola bottles 6 weeks later.

Although CBS richly deserves a good deal of the hate that comes down on them for their oftentimes-hilarious pricing (especially that "reserve" cooler), questionable shelving conditions, and distribution shenanigans, I've had zero issues with their Black Friday events thus far. Been there the past 2 years, gotten several 4-packs, a glass, and a poster both years, a BCBVS for $20 the first year, and several glasses of VR last year. Pricing for all was quite reasonable. Whether that's the powa of AB-InBev dictating pricing, or temporary insanity on Craig and Beth's part, who knows, but I plan on returning this year. Just have to remember to bring throwing knives...

I'm heading up to chico for the first time to visit the sierra nevada brewery on Friday, heading up from san jose. Was wondering what are some must visit places to stop along the way, brewery/restaurants? tried posting in a sierra thread but that bitch is dead i guess.

Depending on how quickly you wanted to make the drive, Sac's a bit out of the way (and a lot more traffic). I'd say Berryessa is pretty much the closest to the path, though I've never actually stopped there. Otherwise there's a whole lot of nothing between the bay area and Chico.

rrryanc is right about Berryessa. It's on the way, very good beers, kind of weird hours though.

I have been trying to look for stuff, and this is what I have came up with lol. ******, but i will def try and check out Berryessa. Thanks for the updates, much appreciated.

What's the joke here?

Might want to think about saving the $$$ and pouring it all into Parabola bottles 6 weeks later.

I only found a single bottle of parabola last year, tried to pour my paycheck into it, but failed. So, I will be happy to throw out the money for some reg, coffee, and regal rye.

If I actually line up early enough for Rare, assuming they'll have some, how much you think I'll end up paying? $100+?

It'll be $60. It's been quite clear that GI plays well with CBS contingent on charging MSRP.
