Ah okay that's a lot less alarming. Been a couple years since I even last saw bottles down here.

Anyone else been to Good Hop yet? I was just there tonight and was pretty excited by it. Hanssens Gueuze for $21/11, Almanac stuff for $10, 16 taps that seems well chosen and are CHEAP, I got a pint of Magnolia for $4, and it looks like they'll have some nice on-site bottles (including Cantillon, we'll see about price). I won't be around for their grand opening (July 12), but if I were I'd drop by.

They had Almanac Farmer's Reserve #3 the first week they were open which was great. I didn't know they were going to do in house bottles, so that's promising. Otherwise, their bottle prices seemed legit ($12 for Supplication which used to be the norm, but now seems like a relative deal).

If anyone wants to get together to watch the WC final next Sunday and knows of a place worth hitting up let me know. I'm trying to find somewhere to watch it. Preferably somewhere that will allow outside bottles at a reasonable price.

Also, if anyone bought any extra apple pie mead from SF mead company and wants to trade/mule any, let me know.

He had a stroke a few days ago, and for a while it seemed like he'd recover. Apparently the latest developments indicate otherwise.
Damn. That's terrible. Never knew him or visited Beer Rev, but he seemed like an integral player in the Bay Area beer scene. My thoughts are with him and his family.

Apparently Fraggle is brain-dead and the doctors expect him to pass sometime in the next few days. It's a very sad time for the Bay Area craft beer scene.
****.....wow that's ******* unreal. kind of devastating. Think I was the first Beer Rev customer and he never forgot that
**** that's done me in tonight
Not a good year for so many reasons, this just adds to it.

I'm going to miss him. He was always fun to talk to on BA, and he was incredibly nice in person.

It seemed like he had a very rough year (through Facebook), and I hope he is at peace.

Just thinking back to my last interaction with him: he put up a post asking for good places to camp in NorCal, and I suggested "in front of Russian River before a beer release." He got a kick out of it. In my experience, people in the industry who can poke fun at it are rare.

RIP Fraggle. I'm raising a beer to him tonight. I'll have to find something punk.

Hey guys, anybody in the Bay Area see the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp 12 pack yet? I am going to be traveling through Concord/Walnut Creek/Fairfield area, and was hoping to grab one if they are in the area.

Was at Torpedo Room in Berkeley and they had it in bottles and the whole line up on tap. And Bigfoot verts 11-14 for $20.

Been seeing it around at a few places today. Should have no issues picking one up.

It is at whole foods in Haight Ashbury, and is probably at all other whole foods...

Alameda craft beer is selling singles of the Beer Camp stuff. Good move in my opinion.

Does anyone have a favorite from the 12-pack? I've had the Russian River, 3 Floyds, and Ballast Point, and I think I like the 3 Floyds best (even though it was bottled nearly two months ago). I wonder if they're bottle-conditioned? To me they taste like they use whole-cone hops, like other Sierra Nevada beers, but I'm not sure.

So far my favorite was the DIPA in the 24 oz bottle that was separate from the pack.

I've only had two out of the pack, Pale (not bad) and Pils (yum).

Anyone have a suggestion on where to watch the World Cup final on Sunday? Preferably near Cellarmaker so I can get some fills after the game
