ooh, so they'll fill about anything, as long as the old logos are covered? Are they super busy on weekends usually? Will be up there the 4th weekend and will probably stop by at some point.
it's a very small space. the few times i went they filled up pretty fast. still, it's worth it. they're making some great beers.

Just so long as it's brown glass or stainless in one of those four sizes, yes.

Busy yes, but always able to get a glass and/or growler feel right quick. Everyone who works there is super friendly and it is a great spot to knock back a few. I just wish they had more food trucks swing by, but Una Pizza and the SoMa food truck spot isn't to far.

Last time I was in there, a group of peeps had food delivered. I think it was BBQ TBH. I REALLY enjoy it there and like you said, getting a beer is not hard at all. Even when it is packed.

Question for y'all: I'm flying back from Portland to Oakland and was planning on checking a case that I picked up. Alaska Air seems cool with checking a case of wine so I figured I'd go that route. Anyone have any experience with shipping beer via a checked case?

The good news is that they allow beer per their website, no problems. But simply checking a cardboard case of beer is not a good idea. It needs to withstand the abuse that normal luggage experiences, so a case of beer would get destroyed quickly.

You can definitely use a 12 bottle styro shipper that's taped really well. Or re-pack your box of beer with a lot of bubble wrap, and you may be OK.

I've flown on Alaska Airlines many times to Vancouver with a 12 bottle styro shipper and never had any problems.

If anyone is going to drive from the Bay Area to SD between 7/3 and 7/21, pm me. I could use a small box proxy, for which I'd give you something tasty.

There should be a flying w/ beer thread someone on TB. If you declare you have beer/wine, it has to be in a professional quality shipper (styro or pulp). I usually give bottles some bubble wrap and wrap them up in clothes, then trashbag all of them in my luggage. I've also used a large duffel bag, for which I made custom single 750 holders (can hold two 12oz) out of sturdy cardboard. I'll bubble wrap the beer then put them in and fill/pad w/ clothes. Then trashbag. And don't tell them I have beer.

Did anyone go to the California Beer Festival this past weekend in Novato? Was curious to see what some of your favorites were.

was cool to see bird22 and evilhead at RR today. Wish I coulda stuck around a bit longer, but my wife wasn't feeling good so we bailed. I did grab the Sonoma Pride box thingy so I can trade it for walez tho...
I'm hoping Nick and Drew bring me one of those when the come visit next month. I'm too lazy to actually ask any of my friends to pick some up for me.

I do not have the time (or day) set, but I will be going to Russian River either tonight ~7 /7:30 PM or tomorrow around 12:30 PM, if anyone wants to meet up.

Sorry I don't have the occasion locked in. Post here or PM me and perhaps we can figure it out!

You are probably wiser to go tomorrow. The Wednesday Farmer's Market is going on tonight on Fourth Street in Santa Rosa.

I'm down for tomorrow

I Didn't know you were in town
I am, wasn't thought out too far in advance. Will be in Novato two days, then Harless trailer for two-ish.
I brought Jester King for the trailer.

Yeah that will cause a pain for parking. Although what time does the farmers market typically end?
It's from 5-8:30 (http://www.srdowntownmarket.com/)

Welp, looks like it's still up in the air. I'm visiting my parents/grandparents today and tomorrow, and my mom has a cold so we're not sure which day we'll make it :/

yeah, parking will suck. Not to mention that means even more people. I would suggest tomorrow during the day as well.

Heard that no more distro on Blind Pig, not that it was around much. So now we have a brewery only IPA to trade on par with Zombie Dust!

Anyone else been to Good Hop yet? I was just there tonight and was pretty excited by it. Hanssens Gueuze for $21/11, Almanac stuff for $10, 16 taps that seems well chosen and are CHEAP, I got a pint of Magnolia for $4, and it looks like they'll have some nice on-site bottles (including Cantillon, we'll see about price). I won't be around for their grand opening (July 12), but if I were I'd drop by.

I may have to hit this joint up soon.

I think they'll stop bottling if that's the case. Probably freeing up space at the commercial brewery.

Wait what? I know a lot of San Diegans who'll be extremely disappointed if we stop receiving kegs of Blind Pig.
