Definitely true for Cellarmaker as well, if not more pronounced. They experiment so much I'd say 60-70% of their board on average is kinda meh. But considering that board completely changes once every 2 weeks, the total amount of 'holy ****' beers they come out with annually is astounding.
That's a good point. Although I've never had a meh experience at CM, most of the time they're solid, some times ******* awesome.

Also, worth noting: I don't think Cellarmaker is all that. I think it's their ******* ridiculous obsession with DANK, but their hop profile in general doesn't do it for me. People flip for their IPAs and I'm like "I guess this one is pretty good just like all the others?" They have some hits, but I'm not waiting in any kind of line for any of their cans.

If anyone is waiting in line or worried they missed out on a release then I struggle to get my head around that. Regardless of the brewery or beer.

I got to Fieldwork before opening today and was first in line for the Wet hop cans. I got there at 10:56.

I bought three cans of each. People put way too much stock in beer and how important it is.

These last few pages are awful, just awful.

Enjoy your beer and stop being pretentious pricks already.

Eh I'll do what I want. I dont think citing my opinion on the caliber of the quality of the beer being brewed in the Bay Area makes me a prick.

Drake's 1500 is perfect in every way. Completely amazing beer. If it's not in the top 250 pale ales then I am Mickey Mouse.
Granted, not that untappd is the end all be all. But in this case it is the best data set we have on ppl's opinion on the pale ale scene. However, it's 3.67 score does not net out to be in the top 250 of pale ales. (I bet you don't care, just pointing it out.)

So we're pretentious for discussing breweries yet you go can releases...?

What?

I went to Fieldwork to get beer. I did not go to a can release. I went to a brewery that had cans for sale.

Some of you lot try way to hard.

Drink beer, stop worrying about how many top 10 breweries we have. We are all going to be okay and drink the beer we want to drink.

Couldn't we just as easily say to you to stop worrying about us discussing our hobby? Nerds like debate and rankings, nothing wrong with that. Fully understand that it might not be your bag, but I find the discussion interesting.

edit:

Go for it. Not worth it.

Why no love for Bare Bottle? I absolutely love what they're putting out. And my feelings of the awesomeness of Bartlett Hall are well documented. Two breweries that any other city in the country would be lucky to have!
I have love. Send that and Faction out in almost every box.

My go to spot. Always a decent selection, food tuck, and plenty of space for the kid dog and friends

Realy hope moonlight, cooperage and all the North Santa Rosa folks are ok.

Looking like my office burned down in fountaingrove, waiting for full story there. Historic Round Barn is gone. Shots of kaiser being evacuated are insane. Air is unbreathable up here.

**** sorry to hear that dude. Hope family is okay!

Woke up at 2 am notice a smell in the air and the news is terrible

Jesus, stay safe. The wind was nuts last night, and I can't believe how strong the smoke smell is down here. I was sure the fire had to be in the east bay, but from Napa/Sonoma? Unbelievable.

Thanks guys. Fighting to get out of area with the family and the animals in the car. Traffic is horrific.

It's pretty apocalyptic up here people are frantic. Car accidents everywhere, emergency service vehicles heading in every direction, red skies, black air, etc. I hear the Kaiser is burning now but they evacuated hours ago so hopefully everyone is out.

Relevant to our mutual interests this is probably going to threaten cooperage, moonlight, plow, bottle barn and the beverage people. Keep them and everyone in North Bay in your thoughts.

Terrible day.
