Just brewed up 5 gallons of a Wheat beer that had basil leaves added in the last 10 minutes of the boil, along with two ounces or so of Calypso hops. I previously made a SMASH using only Pilsner with Caylpso, and it had a great lemon aroma and flavor. I'm hoping that lemon returns to pair with the basil.

4 lbs Rahr White Wheat Malt
4 lbs Rahr 2-Row Malt
1 lbs Briess CaraPils
1 lbs Rice Hulls
.5 oz Calypso Hops added at 60 mins
1.5 oz Calypso Hops added at 15 mins
.75 oz Basil Leaves added at 10 mins
Wyeast 3068 Weihenstephan Wheat Yeast

Did a yeast starter and added nutrient to the last 10 mins, along with Irish Moss. Finished at about 7pm last night, and it's bubbling constantly through the blowoff tube right now at 9am! The whole thing smelled awesome. Will keg in a month or so for a refreshing Springtime brew!
