Barley vs. Rye

I recently ordered a recipe in which I requested flaked rye and got flaked barley. Are these the same?
 
Nope. They're just what they sound like, though. Flaked grains, somewhat similar in how they work and what they do, but rye doesn't taste much like barley at all. Flavor is going to be the biggest change. I'd exchange it if possible, depending upon the recipe.
