Anyone ever had this happen during fermentation? Infection or weird behavior?

Although difficult to see exactly what it looks like with all the yeast on the glass, to me, that looks like normal krausen, possibly with some hop trub mixed in.

Looks like you had an exuberant fermentation going on there!

For my last 2 batches I used A38 juice and I saw krausen similar to your pictures. The first was a 1.060ish NEIPA with a large dry hop that was about the same as what you show. Kinda thick and sponge-like after fermentation was complete. The second batch (which I just cold crashed today, 11 days after pitching) was a 1.038 OG ordinary bitter with minimal hops and no dry hop. The bitter had a thinner layer of yeast across the top.

So I'm guessing that's just how this yeast behaves. I noticed something similar once the yeast warmed up a bit in the jar I used to store it between batches. Super weird though, I've never seen this with other yeasts.
