Seriously. I love this place.
I got a beer kit for christmas, waited until Easter to use it, and then brewed a dark ale suggested by the brew lady at the LHBS. I found HBT that night while I was waiting for my wort to cool down in the sink. When I bottled it last week, I used Revvy's bottling tips to shave *at least"* an hour off my evening.
I just brewed my second batch- a partial mash honey golden ale (thanks Deathbrewer for that PM thread), using a yeast starter prepared from yeast that I washed and saved from the last batch (using Bernie Brewer's guide). It exploded overnight, and I learned what a blowoff hose is for.
I had a buddy over drinking beers with me while I brewed. He's been homebrewing for years, and he had never heard of washing yeast, of making a starter, or half the other stuff I picked up here.
So seriously... I love HBT!
