I kegged my first batch a couple of days ago. I want to use the set it and forget it method for my first time around. I put the keg in the fridge overnight to cool down to 37 degrees to and set it at 10 psi for an American Ale carbonation level. Here is my question...I made sure to purge and burp my keg to get out oxygen and make sure everything was hooked up correctly. When I did this outside of my refrigerator everything worked fine. I believe I read somewhere that you should consider burping your keg once everyday just to release some of the oxygen. When I pulled pin no sound came out. I played around with everything to ensure there were no links and set the keg and regulator up again outside of the fridge. About 10 minutes went by and I tried to burp it again and there we no issues. I put it back in the fridge overnight, when I woke up this morning I tried to burp it one more time and nothing came out again.
Is there something I am doing wrong? Why won't the keg make a sound when I pull the pin inside of my fridge? Am I over burping my keg?
Thanks for the help.
