Hey ya'll, been on this form for a few years but only ever been in the mead section.
I was looking into getting a kombucha starter kit for my brother and his family, as they all drink it like crazy.. but it occurred to me that with him having younger kids, ABV is rather important.
Im curious if home brew is similar abv to store-bought stuff, or is there something you do to reduce the alcohol content? At first I thought just boil it off but that would also kill the good bacteria..
