Aging an american barleywine

I brewed a Bigfoot clone OG 1.096 FG 1.019. Wondering how long to secondary. I've brewed English barleywines and age them for months. First time brewing a hoppy version. I just transferred to a secondary after 2 weeks in primary. Wondering how long to secondary with such a high OG but not lose hoppy goodness.
 
My barleywine is in primary 1 month, secondary 3 months, then to the keg. Was 6 month old last fall and took 3rd best of show in the fair so I would say my method works.lol

Was this a hoppy barleywine or more of an English version.
