I hate Robot Chicken. But seriouly, tonight a few friends and I brewed a batch of american light beer while at the same time we bottled a batch from two weeks ago. In a rush I cooled the wort to about 125F and then added about 2 gal of cold water to make 5 gal. After carelessly doing so I added my yeast and waited 10 min and stirred in the yeast. There are no bubbles in the airlock after 3 hours. Im going to wait it out, but do yall think I might have killed my yeast?

If it was 125 before adding 2 gallons of cold water, you're fine. Leave it alone. If there are no signs after 48 hours, then start worrying about the yeast.

extremely doubtful. I'm sure the 2 gallons of cold water brought your wort to between 90 and 100. Even 24 hours isn't unusual for fermentation to start.
