So I'm on my second beer brew (5 gallons) and due to space limitations and curiosity, I plan on bottling the first half of my batch just the way I brewed it.
But with the second half, I planned on doing an Earl Grey IPA. I added pureed pears, clove and allspice to my last brew, but I knew how to do that without infection.
I purchased a pack of individual tea bags and planned on putting them into my fermenter in about a week. It occurred to me, I might be looking for trouble.
Should I boil them and add bags and water to the beer? Tincture with vodka or grain to extract flavor? Sanitizer?
Also, if anyone has a good idea of how many tea bags to use for ~2.75 gallons.
Thanks, guys.
