So today is brew day...10 gallon batch of Bell's Two Hearted clone.

Two different yeast starters prepared - WLP001 and WLP008 (east coast).

I decanted my 008 starter and thought, "why don't I just add the wort pulled for my runoff OG to get this thing going again?" So I added about a pint of runoff to the decanted starter (mostly yeast at the bottom).

As I'm pouring it in, I begin to think "F@#$! I should have boiled it first!"

Assuming I have not introduced any bacteria to my starter, how bad could this be? I'll be ready to pitch it in about 3-4 hours from now so any quick advice would be appreciated.

I have a plenty 001 to pitch into both fermenters if need be but I don't want to lose the opportunity to try the 008...but I REALLY don't want to waste 5 gallons of beer.

Help?

Well, since grain is LOADED with lactobacillus, I would assume you infected your starter with lacto at the very least. Sorry to say, but I'd toss it.
