We have a campus wide shutdown, for "cost savings", does not come out of our time.

Thanks! I will have plenty of time for woodworking and hopefully brewing.

You work for a good university then.. We had the same thing a few years back...mandatory "campus shutdown" except we were required to use annual leave for the days they forced us to take off... Strangely enough I suddenly became "essential personnel" and was working during all of the shutdown days

Edit.. Forgot we were graciously given the option to take those days off unpaid as well.

I work in high voltage research and testing, the Electrical and Computer Engineering department is the best place to work on campus, in my opinion.

Our shutdown is mandated by the Institute of Higher Learning, all the major Universities have the same shutdown.

We have essential personnel as well, but they are on call in case something were to happen.

Morning friendlys! Boston butt on the big green egg- just mashed in an oud bruin. Getting ready to bottle a peach sour and then sample a Flanders red that I blended then put onto tart cherries

A few days ago the low was 20 and the high was in the 30's. Today the high is 78. We have it all. (Eastern NC)

Yep! 80 here yesterday doing laps in shorts around town lake, Austin. Mid west gets these damn Arctic fronts tho. When they're not around, I've seen 90 in January...probably should be thankful for them.

Welcome to the fold!

Merry Christmas everyone!
Installing a security system today with Kinky's help. She has been following me from room to room as I hook up components telling me how I'm doing it wrong. Cats can be such a**hats at times.

Forgot a pic. Dales pale ale.

Happy new year all! Currently drinking Sierra Nevada maple Scotch ale.. It's a decent brown ale, not really a scotch ale imo and no maple to speak of.

Watching the UW Bama game, rooting against the crimson turd [emoji90]

Already hit the homebrew and then the champaign starts at midnight!

Happy new year everyone. Just returned from celebrating the new year with my wife in Las Vegas. Now time to get back to reality
