That looks delightful! Trying to hold out until tomorrow to try my first stout. Barely 2 weeks bottle conditioned, and only 24 hours in the fridge. Doubt will be as pretty looking or sciencey! [emoji6].

Latest mosaic pale is conditioning up nicely. Was kind of an accidental recipe. Cousin was supposed to bring a mr. beer liquid NW pale extract can, really just to use it up, and add to an otherwise AG batch, to teach him the process. Needless to say, he forgot his extract, so we went ahead and brewed an extremely light grain bill. Super light (although very hazy), a moderate mosaic flavor and bitterness, and a somewhat spicy English character with WLP007. I love that yeast, but this is by far the lightest & lowest ABV beer (4.2%), that I've used it with. Even at 65 deg ferment temp, which is usually super clean in more complex malt recipes (Yooper's house pale for ex), I really taste the English character coming out in this beer. It's actually quite refreshing, but very different than what I normally brew. Cheers and happy weekend!

Besides the obvious (N2), any other special equipment?

GBR! With an awesome IPA.

An N2 tank

Filled with a N2:CO2 mix. 75% N2: 25% CO2 a.k.a beer gas.
You can request any ratio you want when you get it made up. I might go for 80:20 next time. (I used "Airgas" for the fill)

You also need a nitrogen regulator or an adaptor for a CO2 regulator if it is a compatible one. My Taprites are not so I got a separate reg.

And you need a stout faucet.

Keg connection have a kit. I didn't need all the bits. You can customize it to meet your needs.

Hey Brewin

If you're interested in sampling a pint or two sometime, shoot me a PM. I'm not sure how much of this keg is left though. I think there are a couple gallons left.

I'm in Las Colinas.

You make me want to move back to California. What's the rent for a refrigerator box under the bay bridge?

PintHousePizza Electric Jellyfish and HB RIS w/oak bourbon.

You know, I wish I was joking, but probably right around 3k. [emoji15]

Cheapest place I could find, and it's probably about as big as some of the keezers on here!!

Tell you what, I'll cut you a great deal on part of my beer fridge. [emoji6]

That's just crazy! When we moved from Santa Cruz to Austin in 1994, tried to explain how expensive it is in California. Few years later showed 2 bedroom fixer uppers on beach for $850,000. Chit, that's a down payment now!

Yeah, it's expensive to wait for the next big earthquake. The 1989 World Series quake was enough for me!

4,000 Sq ft house on 1/2 acre runs about 4k a month (mortgage, tax and insurance).

I am willing to pay more for lower humidity in the summer, no snow in the winter and wearing t-shirts year round.

I live in so-cal and we do have 4 months of hot weather 90+ but we also have 6 months of wonderful 80 degree days and 50 degree nights and maybe 2 months of 65 days and 40 nights the sun can be counted on to shine so much you might miss the sleet and 38 degree rain and ice storms with snow. but if you truly miss it you can drive for 2 hrs or less and enjoy those conditions. Oh and the ocean is a wonderful playground. I spent 30 yrs in Missouri and 10 in denver! COlorado is pretty and the hunting and fishing is off the hook in MO. but So-cal has the conditions you want to wake up to in the morning.:mug:

^^sure, its pretty there and good weather. We fell in love with Escondido. The only problem was a tent on the side of the road was like a million. Man it was snowing today I heard at Loveland Pass.

I love visiting my folks. They're further north, San Bruno, so it's colder and lots of fog. If I could find a job and my wife could find a job, I'd go back. San Luis Obispo would be my #1 choice though. Maybe in 10 or so years, after the wife gets a PhD and lands a job at Cal Poly. Wishful thinking 🙄

Dad and step mom have a 2nd home in SLO. Great place to visit with decent golf courses in the area. My half brothers are lucky mother floccers..but wont get into that now. They get free or "subsidies" cars, clothes, housing, education. My dad slipped this out one day and said their grandparents called a family get together and then gave EVERY family member a $10,000 check. My stepmothers parents got bucks. I'm the only kid who kept his nose clean, finished a bachelor's and work 60hrs/week. Not that I'm resentful or anything..flocc, need a drink now! Thanks for bringing that chit up Zekk!

That sucks pianoman. Wth. Wish i had the subsidy action going. One aunt lived in san bruno another in Mountain view. My mom and dad are both from the city. Srsly they are the real deal san francisco hippies. Brother went to school in palo alto and lived in san carlos. Small world ehh.

I am beginning to love this place. Its practicality in the city, huge sites, full hook ups. Can hear hs football game, coyote, geese and sirens. And if you run out of beer and weed not to far to drive. Or want Wendy's.
