Morning all
Coffee
Light dusting of snow overnight and windy as heck :(
#1 son is getting ready to head down to the twins stadium for a coaches convention/seminar

Bourbon, Bourbon, Bourbon, Coffee, Coffee, Coffee, Beers, Beers, Beers, Coffee, Coffee, Coffee. On the first round of coffee.

Headed over to a buddy's house to bottle his first batch. I probably won't be any help since I haven't bottled since I don't know when. I do know he's using 5 oz of priming sugar, which seems slightly high for an amber ale, but what do I know.

Morning all. Wife is out of town at her sister-in-law's all day.

I'm not going to do a daaaaamn thing.

Happy Saturday.

Is she though? I not sure

How can you be mad at that face!?!

Enjoying some fine PNW weather and beers today.

What neighborhood are you staying in? There are good breweries all over, so lots of options.

For your tastes, I would also recommend picking up some Chuckanut at a grocery store or bottle shop. They won small Brewer of the year awhile ago for their tasty lagers and they're in Bellingham.

She can go chomp for chomp with horsedag.

Cafe with breakfast. Then home to start pulling baseboards and putting down flooring. Good thing it's a rainy morning out.

That'd be my La Folie clone. Carb could be slightly better, but I'm happy with it.

Get yourself some 2x4 today? It's out down there.

It was tasty, but a little flat.

I may track down some 2 x 4 today, depending on which LHBS I go to. They don't deliver to my liquor store until Wed.

You voted for Hunter. Or Hunter logged in as you and voted. Either way, he probably owes you a case of big flats and will be at your place for holidays.

It's happening.

Haha, no. That was YOU voting for ME. Your one vote for the contest was just used is what I was trying to say.

Don't you try to logic your way out of this.

CAD, I'll send you Dank if you send @m00ps some Big Flats for me.

There's something wrong with your lamp.

Mobile app like

He does not know how to dog with this thing on. Is statue now.

Get well soon dag.

Strawberries and waffle for the kid. Me, just more coffee.

Getting mentally prepared to put an offer on a house at the very limit of our price range.

Woke up this morning to find an inch of snow on the ground. It's almost 11 now and still 27 degrees out, with winds up to 45 mph. Typical Minnesota April.

I wanted to work out in the yard, but not in this shiatty weather. Wife's out of town, so I may be relaxing today. :)

So, oldest daughter is offering to by me a brew kettle...maybe $150-ish range? Any recommendations? I've been using an 8 gallon S/S stock pot and doing BIAB so far (which I assume I can still do). But having a spigot to save some lifting and pouring will be a big help. I usually do 5 gallon batches and the 8 gallon pot is able to boil over pretty easily, so maybe 15 gallon? Preferred brands, models, advice?

I'm drunk painting too.

Just heard some gunshots about a half mile out, sounds like. Nice.

Do you have some kind of template/photo you are going off of, or are you really good at getting the coloring and detail right? I'm impressed with your work, unless it's some kind of paint by numbers deal. In that case, you're a cheater.

Back in the day when I actually brewed beer, I had an 11 gallon pot I did BIAB with. I thought it was a good size for 5 gallon batches of all sizes and grain bills. I didn't have a spigot, which is the one thing it was really missing. Volume markings would have been awesome too. I'll leave it to others to suggest brands.

Edit: also, apparently your daughter is awesome. Good job on that one.

Just got in decided to sample one a week into carbing (bottle) now I know what green beer is. Aroma color and taste is where I want it but just not quite there yet. Few more weeks she'll be right. Also picked up a few I don't normally drink to get an idea maybe what I want to do next.
Will be on the grill later for meal prep for next week then leave in the am for Arkansas yay

What type of beer is it?

Watching the soccer game since Q isn't here flooding the thread with COYS and what not. I'm not British so I can't throw in British slang. Sorry
