Took me a second. Is the picture a picture of "space"?
Sorry, but that number is incorrect. There are 930 jelly beans in a gallon. So 20/128*930=145 jelly beans. Just FYI....
lol...you just pointed out my exact calculation.
I see you read @internet also...
Another site with a "true" count would have 207 jelly beans. Man you just can't trust the internet anymore for truth!

You're excluding both of my guesses? The arrogance!![]()
Hey that's me! Awesome dude, thanks!
Wow, I never win :rockin:
My Friday just got way better!
Good Morning all....coffee...
So not to run this into the ground, but one would figure there could be a huge database developed for Bru'n water profiles especially those that use RO water as the source. Yooper and, I'm sure, other more "professional" home brewers have honed in mineral profiles for all different styles. I'm just starting off with yellow/dry and dark/malty. Basically only using gypsum and calcium chloride for additions. I use about 1/10th the lactic acid as the other spreadsheet needed to achieve the 'stated' pH (not actual), and I'm seeing about a 10-15% efficiency bump indicating a real change.
Bi-carbonate is talked about a lot to maintain proper pH. It appears pickling lime is a better choice then gypsum. I told my wife, I was going to lay low on brewing for a while, but this whole other subject is driving me nuts and is clearly a vital part of making the 'perfect' beer. Isn't that what were doing...trying to achieve the perfect beer...for our own palate anyway?![]()
Nice scar, Sir.[AT TACH]346764[/ATTACH]
Drunken knife accident.
Closing blade by trying to whack the back against arm. (Knife wrong way round)
Duct tape to the rescue.
Random thought, and the weird conversation that brought about said thought:
So, someone said to me, "have you had that Men at Work song stuck in your head ever since hearing about the bombings in Brussels?" I answered that I have not, but I knew exactly what he was referencing. Then the thought occurred to me that there is something wrong about the lyrics to that song. It is a song written and performed by Aussies...about being an Aussie...yet they sing "he was six foot four and full of muscles" (in reference to the man in Brussels). So, what exactly makes an Aussie, while singing about being an Aussie, think to include lyrics that make reference to standard measurements? Didn't these guys grow up with the metric system? I mean, Midnight Oil sang about the "steamy 45 degrees"...
