Morning errbuddy. Became an uncle of 5 yesterday - now 4 boys, 1 girl. Mix that with a baby being brought to my wife's girly churchy group, and all of a sudden she's talking about "trying" come fall.... Not sure how I feel about it. I've always wanted kids. Now that I'm this age, I'm wondering if it's something I actually want - you know that whole melancholy, the world's ****, why bring another soul into it kinda argument.

Got a couple of days of work, then a fun-filled weekend ahead. Bottling/kegging my first pils on friday, football camp with two other fairly local teams on friday evening and all day saturday, bottling a three-way dry-hopped pale ale on sunday, plus hoping to brew the rye pale ale on sunday. Beer and football. Great combo for a great weekend.

Also, there are some friendlies who have been getting weird notifications things going on. I'm not getting any. Stupid. Now I never know when people are quoting me, so I actually have to PKU... ;)

Full Throttling, came in early for some reason. Was just pacing around the house anyway.

Think I'm starting to get nervous for babby.

Go for it. Kids are a piece of cake. :)

Had a great night. Made dinner, played with puppy, cleaned house, did dishes etc. All was good and perfect, then suddenly someone flipped the switch on my wife. She went from nice and cuddly to yelling and screaming in an instant. About what? "I'M JUST TIRED". Heard. Go to bed.

Got up early. Made breakfast. Took care of puppy. Left 45m early. Done with this bullshirt.

That's what the world is like BEFORE kids. If you want to change the world for the better, be a good parent and teach your kids how you want the world to be. Things might not change for our generation, but they can certainly be better for future generations. Seriously, the only way to any sort of immortality is through the stories our children and children's children will tell about us. To my kids, I'm a god amongst men, they are learning their place in the world and every day I think my life, their lives and the world around us is better because of that.

Should be packing up @1977Brewer 's package today. Homebrew club meeting tonight too, which is the first one I've been able to make it to for a while.

Does that work for you? Every time I try that response, I get, "I'm not going to bed at [early o'clock], that's lame!" 10 minutes later...asleep on the couch.

Hell, I'm not trying to impress anybody. There are nights I'd go to bed at 7 if I thought I'd actually get rested.

Also, lucky me, got my new insurance rates for the Ducati in. For some reason Intact still doesn't think I own a sportbike, and since I'm such a responsible rider (no tickets or accidents) my rates went down, so I'm now paying $1074/year ($89/month). Which is high for the USA I know, but is quite good up here in Canuckistan. Rates for most riders are going up across the board.

I have spent the last 6 hours or so reading 300 pages of a Raymond Khoury book while unsuccessfully falling asleep.

**** it, I am awake.

Whee... maybe I'll actually drink a cup of coffee.

Does that work for you?

I didn't actually tell her to go to bed. Dumbfounded as to what sent her into a rage at 11pm, I let her get it out of her system and just tried to go to sleep. She has to have a good yell to get it out at least once every other month; it is just the first time she decided to do it so late and without giving a reason. Or at least, without a reason that was somewhat sensible.

Just about fed up with life. At least this mood makes me disgustingly productive. Already completed two new builds, matching BoM's and routers. Revising and updating the entire list of codes for sales now. **** this.
