Next task: couple of yeast starters for the 100% Brett beers sompls and I are brewing up together this weekend.

Interested to see how this turns out. 13 brett strains sounds pretty tasty. IME, the more the merrier

That never fails. The next step will be someone to schedule a meeting that will go right up to the time you're off. A meeting that you know won't finish in time.

Oh, that already happened, and it was an hour's drive away. One of the inspectors was already attending, so I just asked him to get me up to speed later. This particular job has been going back and forth for a while now, so I don't expect everything to get totally wrapped up today anyway.

Literally ****. At least it ain't my ass getting scoped. Rusty nickel was cool when I checked it out with a friend a few weeks back. The peanut butter cup stout sounds good. I'd be game to meet up over there just so I can try that beer.

At 11% though? Man. Can't believe they don't have an IPA on tap. Lame! I'm meeting my buddy (fellow Eagle Scout) at 7pm and we're going over. He lives 10-15m from there I guess. Probably going back to his place and having a bonfire afterwards.. if it's not pissing rain again.

Russian River's Vinnie Cilurzo will be giving a talk today. Looking forward to that. Hope he is as good a speaker as he is a brewer.

Nevermind, it works. I didn't realize that the number in the balloon only refers to "likes" not mentions and quotes. Your mentions did show up. I need to actually look at them more often I guess, lol.

I've taken home-brew to an in-office happy hour before and shared with our CIO. I'd be shown the door if I opened one during the day, but they are definitely not uptight about it.

Back when the place I work was fun, we used to bet beers on stupid stuff (total gross sales for the week, number of installs, number of customer complaints, etc.). Whoever was worst had to bring beer back from lunch on Friday and we finished up the day drinking a few before heading out. That doesn't happen anymore...

Brew day isn't going so smooth so far. After replacing the head on my chugger pump I was getting no water flow. Checked to make sure I installed the head properly and everything Looked good. Took apart the head to make sure there was a impeller in the replacement head. There was one so I put the pump back together. Still no flow. Wtf! Now what?! Took it apart again along with the old broken head and noticed that the old impeller was slightly larger than the new impeller that came in the new head. I put the large one in and got flow. Back in business. Only to realize that my mash water had dropped down to 140. Fired the burner back up. Funk no propane left. Smh.

Equally ****ty day going so far over here, plus some ****** didn't refill the coffee, so I got exactly 0 cups of coffee from the pot I made when I came in.

After a shower this morning I walked by my 2.8 year old daughters room and saw her laying in a weird angle, clearly awake. I opened her door and she ran over, gave me a big hug and a kiss and told me she missed me. She told me about the dream she had with a bunny.

So this was so much fun last year I've decided it's time for v2.0...

Just in time for spring and multi-hued, oval zygote pooping hares, it's time to guess how many jelly beans are in the Pilsner glass! Person closest to the total without going over will win a box of beers from my cellar, tailored to your personal tastes (within reason)
