Brewing a IPA. Still not sure what my hop schedule will look like. I might just let it mash for 90 min.

Next task: couple of yeast starters for the 100% Brett beers sompls and I are brewing up together this weekend.
Think @Hunter_la5 is back tomorrow or Sunday? Curious to see how flooded with notifications he got
****ty morning thus far.
Need more coffee but I left it in the work van.
Selfie time?
Hang in there dude, **** almost over. Did try responding to your text, all of them sent back to me. Think I'm going to go hit Rusty Nickel for a few rounds tonight. Haven't been there yet. Looks chill.

There beers don't look like anything I normally prefer, but it feels like it might be an old fashioned kind of night anyway.
Hope HBT's move didn't mess up your experiment. I haven't gotten any notifications since the switchover
My 7 year old is like that still, thank God. And I get my 2 year old fix every Sunday when I see my brother. Dude has 7 kids from ages 16 to 2...and I suspect they're trying for #8...

Of course on the day I make plans to work half a day, a dozen things come up that demand my attention RIGHT FUNKING NOW.
Edit - I bet @hunter_la5 wouldn't stand for this BS.
Really? I get them but they need to change it from a black balloon back to the red one. @wobrien
That never fails. The next step will be someone to schedule a meeting that will go right up to the time you're off. A meeting that you know won't finish in time.
Finishing up coffee and trying to figure out what to do for lunch...

The peanut butter cup stout sounds good. I'd be game to meet up over there just so I can try that beer.
So, do I have a relaxing night at home, sipping a few beers, smoking a cigar and playing with the guitar, or do I use the "Mr. Mom" night to take the kids out to a crappy all-you-can-eat pizza place and then to see Zootopia at the theater? That is my big decision of the day.
Relaxing night at home, make your own pizzas and let them get high on pizza and video games. Best night possible.
The weekend is so close I can nearly smell it.
Blue Bonnet Brewoff
Got a pass from most of my dad duties this weekend to drink lots of folks' homebrew go to various pubs and listen to some expert brewers.
Russian River's Vinnie Cilurzo will be giving a talk today. Looking forward to that. Hope he is as good a speaker as he is a brewer.
Really...interesting. @wobrien
I had tagged you once or twice the other day, I think. Let me know if you get one now. I'm getting notifications just fine

Back when the place I work was fun, we used to bet beers on stupid stuff (total gross sales for the week, number of installs, number of customer complaints, etc.). Whoever was worst had to bring beer back from lunch on Friday and we finished up the day drinking a few before heading out. That doesn't happen anymore...I've taken home-brew to an in-office happy hour before and shared with our CIO. I'd be shown the door if I opened one during the day, but they are definitely not uptight about it.
Brew day isn't going so smooth so far. After replacing the head on my chugger pump I was getting no water flow. Checked to make sure I installed the head properly and everything Looked good. Took apart the head to make sure there was a impeller in the replacement head. There was one so I put the pump back together. Still no flow. Wtf! Now what?! Took it apart again along with the old broken head and noticed that the old impeller was slightly larger than the new impeller that came in the new head. I put the large one in and got flow. Back in business. Only to realize that my mash water had dropped down to 140. Fired the burner back up. Funk no propane left. Smh.

After a shower this morning I walked by my 2.8 year old daughters room and saw her laying in a weird angle, clearly awake. I opened her door and she ran over, gave me a big hug and a kiss and told me she missed me. She told me about the dream she had with a bunny.
Don't you ever grow up sweetie, don't you dare
