Damn @1977ishbrewer - went to brewstore and totally forgot about the main reason I wanted to go -- buying the bottle-from-keg setup. Debating on just filling from tap or waiting and doing it right. Leaning towards the first option.

Very much behind, as usual. Judged a club comp this afternoon. Then studying. Then gym. A few Ninkasi Spring Reigns in the midst. Now more studying until bedtime. I'll be so glad when this exam is over, especially if I get my magic 92% (for 90% combined, and no more BJCP exams ever).

Love the tree swing. Your kid still fit in it? Number 2 will for sure.

Dislike. Too lazy. Buy the cheap as flock bottling setup and pencil me in for a trade of boringbiers at some stage. I'd like to see how delicious your lazyconicalbiers are.

LOL on the pound of fuggles. I have a pound of Willamette I got for a stout then promptly stopped making stouts. (I'll fix that soon).

What level of judge are you shooting for Q? Always impressed to hear about the time and effort BJCP folks like yourself give back to the beer geek world. Cheers man.

Good luck! I'm debating whether I want to study for Advanced or skip it and try for Master straight away.

I'm getting really frustrated with the sdom's around here being more interested in their police powers than doing much else.

Apparently a truthful response is horrific. They should have lied and then apologized after they failed to do it. Of course these comments reflect that fact that I'm Sunday evening drunk...

That thread got real unfriendly in a hurry.

*whistles*

Toured a couple of houses today, thinking one might be a winner. Less sq ft then we're used to. But it has a pool and a killer backyard. Have to figure out where my brewing stuff will fit. Priority for me, swmbo, not so much.

Just pulled a sample of my Blonde Ale. OG: 1.052, gravity after 7 days: 1.013

Clear as hell. Very smooth. Light creamed corn taste though, which I understand is associated with DMS, which I don't understand as I boiled with the lid off. Frustrating.

Checking the gravity again tomorrow or Tuesday, then dryhopping with a bit of galaxy. Half the batch is getting racked onto frozen mangoes.

Well 1977ish is just raving about @m00ps nonstop. Moops pls send me beers thanks. Ill even drink a saison for you.

Just following instructions. The labels said to drink em quick.

The saison from earlier was soooo good. I'm no beer judge though. I like a lot of crap.

Drinking my ESB, lots of diacetyl up front with a malty finish. Not a dumper, just wish I had left it alone for longer.

But it has a pool and a killer backyard.

We bought in September of last year and these were major selling points. Our rental had 4 bedrooms, which was great bc I had my own brew room. New house has about 700 more Sq ft but only 3 bd rm. No beer cave but brew days are awesome on the pool deck.

Certified now, but by the time I get exam results back I should have the points in the system for National, and to reach that I barely need to even get a passing score to reach 80% aggregate (73% is my magic number there). I should be able to do that easily even without studying. But if I can reach that 90% aggregate for Master all I need to do is rack up more points which isn't an issue. Depending on the score I get on this, I may or may not try again. If I fail it, I'll retake the written exam. If I get a similar score on the written to my tasting (ie I end up at like 87-89 aggregate) I'll probably retake the tasting exam because it's so much easier to push it over the 90% edge. If I end up somewhere in between (ie just enough to make National) I'll probably sit on it.

Good luck! I'm debating whether I want to study for Advanced or skip it and try for Master straight away.

You should.

Labels are to be obeyed! Next time I'm adding labels to mine with superliminal messages

"Send Gav Bacon Jam"
"Send Gav Candy of the non-penis variety"
"Send Gav random roflturds"

Gimmie gimmie gimmie

What did I miss this time?

Nothing to see around here....

To many deletions on a certain thread to be able to explain. Just don't criticize anyone for criticizing anyone or anything, especially notable online HB retailers.

C Ya guys later. Bound to be banned for a few days at this point.
