Im having a ryepa that is now old enough that the over-Amarilloing I did to it has gotten more managable. Still a little hazy but good. Winding down from another boring evening at work.

A few fingers of Rebecca Creek bourbon to put my arse to bed. This bottle was a gift and when it's gone I will be reaching out to one of our Texans to get some more if I can't find it local. Damn good chit

Hmmm...I thought bourbon only came from Kentucky?

Morning all, about to head out and face the world.

Pretty busy day , have to get a test setup going since the grad student that is being paid from this project cannot.

Ahh...I only looked at it from the subscribed threads, not from the forum. Thanks!

Psylocide needs to get a real job...

Haha... just lucky enough to be able to pop in between suppliers, it's a very low-stress job. I get my **** and more done, so it's all good. Have I ever told you guys I'm glad I left my previous job of 7.5 yrs?

Quoting all these other posts so I can get you added and not have to dig back through.

Morning.

So wait...what's going on, and can I still get in on it?

Holy H*ll... finally caught up! Not being able to pay attention during work just stinks.

In.

I'm in if y'all will have me.

Fortunately someone else is willing to PKU so I don't have to, would have completely missed this otherwise.

I'm in too.

Woah, I havent reached 100 yet. Do I still qualify @Psylocide ? Highly doubt I will win though..

Morning- we had probably the worst thunder/lightning/ wind storm I can remember last night. Terrible night of sleep I thought I was gonna wake up in oz- I don't know how you middle Americans can deal with tornadoes

Morning.

I'm trying to get out of this job. Ive been here 9 years, 3 months, 1 week, four days and this morning...its becoming like a prison sentence. High stress, no raise in 2 years, the people I'm assigned to work with are just...well, retarded for the lack of a better word. No idea what they are doing and its starting to make me look bad I think.

Certainly got wonky last night...our skylight kept blowing open. There was a downed oak around the corner from us. Tree was maybe 100 years old or so, planted around the time the houses were built.

Yep. 21.5 years at same facility...3 different companies. 10 years ago my "comp" ratio suddenly was too high for a raise, eventho I'm rated #1or #2 tech in group every year. Every 3rd year or so they "find" me money. Grand total of 10% worth of raises in 10 years. Every quarterly meeting CEO is always mentions his 9 million shares of stock and how he make more off dividends then his salary. So happy I can help him succeed.

We need to invent something...the guy who invented the pet rock, he made a million dollars!

I have no (realistic) bitch about my job...but I am always, and I mean always, looking for new ways to make money by starting another business that is not related to my current job/business. I'm convinced that I will be earning my income in a totally different fashion than I am right now at some point before I retire...I just don't know how yet.

The AFPFFWD 20,000th Post Pool brought to you in part by Beermeduffman

Every entrant offers up one beer (bottle or can), to be shipped to the person who happens to post to this thread for the 20,000th time. If the person who posts the 20,000th post is not on this list, it will go to the next person on the list to post after post # 20,000.

You do not need to disclose what you are sending ahead of time.

Feel free to send more if you so desire.

If you would like to participate, quote this post and I'll add your name to the list.

Must participate to win.

For the sake of fairness, try not to spam to 20,000 once we get close. That ain't right. Any poster that posts more than 3 times in a row in the hunt for 20,000 will be DQ'd (this will be discussed amongst the friendly friends to determine if an infraction has occurred).

I'll keep track of the list. CUTOFF FOR ENTRY IS POST 19,750 – only open to the continental U.S.

I honestly think I would make for a real good travel agent. I love talking about destinations, helping people plan and that kind of stuff (I must of bombarded poor @mhurst111 with about 100 PN's in the last month about his pending trip lol)...but there are issues with it such as
A) I would make terrible money
b) who really uses travel agents any more? If you are informed in any regard you do everything on your own anyway. If you are completely disinterested in what you are doing or going, you don't care enough to discuss it with strangers.
I would love to do anything I have an interest in, I just don't know if they would be economically viable solutions for long term planning.

My brother in law worked for a chem firm here in the city and was recently laid off along with half of the rest of their company. The industry in Delaware came to a grinding halt last month when they laid off maybe 5k people

Here is the thing...my income now is dictated by me, personally, providing a service. That is ok, but it means that any time you have off is, by definition, unpaid time off. It also means that all the time I spend doing administrative stuff around the office (getting new business, making sure the accounting is right, reviewing bills for accuracy, etc. etc.) is also unpaid time. My income is good, so I'm not going to bitch too much about the "unpaid" time, but I would like to approach retirement with some sort of passive income source. A business that does not require me to be the product, working for every dollar the business earns.

Holy funking list... That's ridiculous. Wow. There's going to be 20+ really, really jealous people.

Took wife to mall last night so I could 'get some new shoes', surprised her by having my mother meet us there. Took them both out to dinner. Embarrassed the hell out of her with a ridiculous birthday sundae. Then ran her to BJ's Wholesale and let her pick out an area rug for our living room to go with the new couch. Out of all the rugs they had, she picked the only one I liked so everything worked out perfect. It really ties the room together. Successful bday gifts so far. Go me.

Morning dudes. Coffee time.

You could fund a brewery? CAD and I will run it. Fins will still be on canning... Wes will be the taproom hipster that scares off all the good customers.
