What kind of DEM are you making? What yeast are you using BTW. I followed @Qhrumph 's lead and have 1469. Really happy with how it turned out.

My FIL was very sad to hear of the demise of my DEM. I'm down to 2gallons of Alt and a little Apfelwein in the keg. (not sure how much)

Last night my 1 BA Legion put me on my ear. Barely finished it before bed.

Going to keg my Pils next. 14days since brew. It's at 1.009 and 31F.

Jealous of you folks brewing this weekend. Bumped my brewday till next week.

I just discovered 3+ gallons of apfelwein in a 5 gallon glass carboy in a storage room in my basement. I'm guessing it's nearly 2 years old. Drink it?
 
Pretty sure the sack of MO I got fo free still has about 40lbs in it. I threw it on the scale and it was reading 38 but some corners were resting on the ground, too. The growler I bought last night of IPA, to drink while brewing today, has been kicked. Wife and I got tipsy and watched a few eps of Three Sheets last night. Good thing I have wannapills to drink.
 
There's not much people can do. I have to stay still and just get to a point where the nerves and muscles aren't all compacted against my spine. Or however they explained it. Friends bought me a whole fried chicken from Lowe's Thursday. I didn't eat for two days, I did eat today though, so that was good. I'm not good at sitting still though. I am watching all the TV! haha

Drinking another coke zero.

Chicken from Lowe's? I think I would have said thanks and put it in the trash. ;)

Home form the races, son took 3rd, and his would be car was raced in the adult run and took 1st.

This is our first year participating in Pinewood and the adults got into it more than the scouts. There was a guy whom was generally pissed that he did not win the adult bracket, which is just for fun. Some people.

Congrats! My son's troop was helping the pack run their derby this morning and seemed like he had fun at it. It's too bad that that guy shows up all the time.

Crazy busy morning with breakfast, dropping son off, running errands and whatnot. But the payoff is here - my wee heavy is mashing right now. The sun is out (mostly) and it's 60 degrees. Beer very soon.

Don't you have to start a thread about these type of strange finds, disappear for a week or two and then tell folks it was vinegar.

Taste it man. If good, package. If tastes like ass, package and call sour, ready for a swap with good friendly HBT sour lovers like @Psylocide . I think he mentioned something along those lines once or twice.

Super jealous. Lots of numbers and chemicals in this pic. Nice looking grill too BTW.
 
And if I do carb it, think there are any viable yeast in there or add some? Does it matter what strain for such a small fermentation?

Nope, yeast will be mostly toast. More needed at bottling if carbonation is to be anything other than a crapshoot I reckon. Some cheap yeast like montrachet considering its a cider and all the fermentable will be long depleted anyway. It's $0.79 I think for a pack
 
It being higher alcohol + old I'd definitely add some more yeast. Throw a little sham pawn ye in it.

I was just about to toss some old US-04. Should I just throw that in there? Will yeast flavor really come through when only fermenting bottling sugar?
 
Still on the coffee. My folks are here staying for the weekend and already driving me crazy.

Hunting for bigfoot later today, whether the wife wants to or not.
