I thought for a second you had marshmallow in your beer. You're not Duffman, stop that.

Cork. Got it.

This isn't meh but I wouldn't buy 12

Hop Ranch and Dirt Wolf are their best IPAs - if you don't have access, let me know.

So the chat tonight was solely on hops. Here are the gems. :mug:

"Is RA a ratio to show pH vs alkalinity" wtf, we are talking hops man! Water was last week. same guy later goes onto to talk about his 3bbl brewery system. why you brew if no water understand?!

"can you talk a bit about oxidizing the mash" Again, wtf. HOPS PEOPLE!

This was tonights winner though

"As we are on the difference on aroma and bitter hops, I have been using this technique as a homebrewer and wander whether it is used in commercial microbrewery: I use a certain amount of hops for dry hop as i put them in a mesh for easier removal. Then after they have done their goodness I use them in my later brew as bittering hops. " :smack:

Not too many stupid questions but a lot of ridiculous small talk stuff that was ticking me off haha

And after using them the 2nd time for bittering, they'd be perfect for a lambic style - weak, oxidized and most likely very cheesy.

Me me me! Yay! No keg was dropped on my toe though.
The story I was given was I stubbed my toe and said excuse me while crashing to the ground. Picture an elephant falling over a tree trunk and that's what happened.

Was this at or after that rare/BA festival? I know I got hammered at the fest I went to a couple of weeks ago. :drunk:

Finishing up the treadmill, then shower, French press and an early conference call.

I used to go to the craft festival in march with coworkers. Last year they started calling it hugfest and talking about feelings.
I am going solo this year.

We dodged the tornadoes again, just thunderstorms.

They stayed to the south and east of us. Property was damaged, but no word of any fatalities. Property can be replaced.

Anyone here have a great Irish Red recipe? Brewing it up in memory of a good friend we lost back in September and don't want something meh, might hop it up a bit to make it more aggressive.

Quoting myself in hopes of getting a funking response this time. Come one peeps! :D

Sorry, not a big fan of Irish Reds so I've got nothing to offer. Thanks for the tags in the keg giveaway thread @psylocide & @berrmeduffman - unfortunately I don't see those on the app so I missed out. At least @hello won!

Thanks for dropping by as well Gabe!

French press while on the phone...

And it's not even Wednesday!
RIGHT? I'm having the worst time at work...I can't wait for 4:30 today.
You can't come up with a better "I met John Palmer" beer than that?

Reported.
I suck, I know. I wanted something light before I went to bed.

Then again I'm drunk and just ate as $200 streak.
$200 for a streak? ****...you better be good.

John Palmer is awesome. I remember at NHC in Philly (2013?), hanging out in our hotel room prior to the awards banquet trying to kill a leftover keg from Club Night, door open offering beer to anyone who walked buy. Palmer took us up on it, and hung out in our room drinking with us for a while.
He was super down to earth. I came back from the restroom and he said hello to me. I shook his hand and started talking to him. He's a nice guy and obviously very knowledgeable. I'm glad I went, I nearly bailed because I was tired.

Yup. After the first hour I realized how much they were pouring and how I needed to scale back, so I asked for just a small sip of each. I was fine from 2 until 5, then sometime after 5 **** hit the fan I guess and I was toast.

I was home by 7:30 and sat on the couch, ordered pizza, ate that, drank water the whole time and went to bed. Woke up just fine the next day...hangover wise. I would have rather have had a hangover and not these massive cuts, bruises and broken toe. It's not looking so good today. :(

OT: Coffee and water.

Morning all, got my 4' drifts shoveled out already.

Wife goes to the window 'I think Ryan (the neighbor) did our driveway.'

'Really? That would be awesome.'

I go to the window, 'No... no he didn't.'

Talk about a kick in the nuts.

Having a Hoppenstance DIPA, waiting on dinner. I dread Tuesdays.

How is Hoppenstance? I pick it up every Friday and always put it back when I see something else.

Don't take this the wrong way, but you have ugly ass hands.

Drunk fall down concrete steps.

Oh.. way different than what I had imagined.

Hopefully going into cruise control for the day. Coffee. Water. Etc.

Did you see the rest of him? Here is an artists depiction

Yeah, wouldn't expect a young pup to go out of his way to help out a snowblower-less Dad with a 3 year old and a pregnant wife.

You'll understand when you're older.

If I had a snowblower I'd be doing the whole damn block. Used my dads for the first time a few weeks back and had a blast. He has a pretty large driveway and it made quick work of it.

Yeah, I don't really bitch about shoveling much... but I keep saying every spring that I'm going to buy a snowblower, then I put it off and end up shoveling another year.

The only reason she thought he had done it was because he's done it a few times before... I just toss him a sixer of HB and he's happy.

RIGHT? I'm having the worst time at work...I can't wait for 4:30 today.

Lucky!

I stayed home again today. Supervisor called to change my start time and forced my hand before I was even up and moving.

I was planning to work if I felt a little better but I'll just sleep all day and hang with you guys.
