Oh Psy didn't tag you. Keg Connection had a giveaway end like...Friday, and didn't announce a winner until today. Now there's five.

There are multiple sub forums here. Other threads and whatnot. I'm as surprised as you are.

I see how it is. You guys are off helping people, entering giveaways, and actually brewing beer instead of just hanging here all the time. Weirdos.

But seriously, I check into the sponsor giveaway section periodically, but didn't see it there.

So the chat tonight was solely on hops. Here are the gems. :mug:

"Is RA a ratio to show pH vs alkalinity" wtf, we are talking hops man! Water was last week. same guy later goes onto to talk about his 3bbl brewery system. why you brew if no water understand?!

"can you talk a bit about oxidizing the mash" Again, wtf. HOPS PEOPLE!

This was tonights winner though

"As we are on the difference on aroma and bitter hops, I have been using this technique as a homebrewer and wander whether it is used in commercial microbrewery: I use a certain amount of hops for dry hop as i put them in a mesh for easier removal. Then after they have done their goodness I use them in my later brew as bittering hops. " :smack:

Not too many stupid questions but a lot of ridiculous small talk stuff that was ticking me off haha

Hey, I had a hop question for you. I've been doing a lot of dry hopping on my yeast starters, but they taste really oxidized. Do you think they're infected??

Of course not, hops need oxygen to science. Probably just hop rafts to prevent the alphas from drowning.

Next!

I've been dry hopping my beers with my mash hops, but all my friends say my tasty brews taste like baby puke. I think my beers are awesome. Why do my friends suck?

Hockey?

Coffee milk stout next. Looks the same, but with a darker head. And more delicious. Dang, that's tasty.

Yep.

They finally pulled the keg giveaway an pulled five winners because they were slackers, solid of them!
Any way the girl with the broken toe won, Congrats @Hello !

Sweet! Congrats Hello!

Nah man, vodka. That's were the alcohol comes from. Duh.

I thought alcohol came from from hops? 'Cus more hops = more alcohol? ;)

Hi Mark, Hi Ryan! Yes, super busy. Not in a fun way for the most part, but :tank:

He's alive! And no Oerbier? post before you show up?

Gabe!

(Okay who's Gabe again?)

He makes wes look like a 4 year old girl. Used to rule these parts. He was the checks and balances the drinking thread needed, in sarcastic demeaning ways. He countered that with brewing knowledge to topple gavin. He is truly missed :D

Wait, Wes isn't a 4 year old girl?

I've seen him about but I had no idea he was that active.

Let me know if you need some mouthwash to rinse that taste out of your mouth ;)

Pay with gold bars?

$1.50 margaritas at local Taco Cabana during happy hour.

Wasn't sure after getting the mason jar beer, but cheaper than I was expecting. Less than $20 for brew, chips, and heaping order of tacos. Good system to allow for full customization.

Perhaps happy though. :D

So, two weeks ago we made a RIS, 1.106 OG. Fed 5 lbs sugar into 11 gals over 3.5 days as fermentation stated to slow (effective OG 1.131). Was hoping to hit 1.035. Wasn't expecting this.
