View attachment 332267late night R&D, thinking about using sorachi ace hops for a sasion I plan on brewing on Sunday along with Nelson and fresh orange zest.

This beer is a great palette cleanser/ night cap after that BCBS

They play well together. I think it's a good combo personally.

Sounds crazy to say that we're missing a day of snowboarding due to snow, but looks like that's what's happening. Don't want to risk the driving. Hopefully FedEx pulls a miracle and delivers The package from Fins today to make up for it.

Anyone watch Narcos yet on Netflix. Looks good, just wondering.

That show sounds good too @Qhrumphf

Catching up on posts from last night; narcos was awesome. Can't wait for seAson 2. And I just started bloodline which has started off very interesting. Coffee. Just starting to snow in Connecticut

Shouldn't have ended the night on such a big beer. Had to get up before 7am to take daughter to dance and I have that "might still be a little drunk" feeling.

Should be a brew day today if all goes well. It's time to drain/refill the brandy barrel solera.

Drinking coffee. Wishing I wasn't working today.
I expect to see some snow pictures from you people in the east trying to dig out of your houses.

No digging here, it's light a powdery and with the wind it'll level off as fast as you dig.

A saison that tastes like a saison, what will they think of next?;)
Coffee's brewin'

14-16" by my guesstimate and still coming down hard. We still have power. Time to watch 'Pool finishing embarassing themselves (or maybe not, seems they've come back from behind), before we slaughter some eagles.

Drinking coffee. My wife is going to make me birthday breakfast. Yay.

Making breakfast, hungry:D

That's right in the Denny wheelhouse. Use a bright American hop and you're golden.

Nightcap. Smoky.

Hitting it with columbus, citra and mosaic

Ive got my hopes up based of chefs description of the snow there. Whats it like out? The only bad thing is it hasnt updated since leaving Keasbey last night.

Mash water heating, all setup for todays brew. :D

Lol, been dropping clues. Deep down she knows it's happening.

This stuff smells pretty good, very subtle smoke aroma, a little in the flavor but not a ton. I don't feel too worried about starting at around ~28% now.

Happy Snowbirthday mate.

Mostly sleet and very fine snow here in the Raleigh, NC area. It isn't deep, but it's deadly. We've been lucky not to lose powder, but ice is known for bringing down power lines and trees. Also, brings down Yankees and Redneck pick-up truck and Jeep drivers who think they can drive in anything. Ice is not snow, people. Ice is the great equalizer. Coffee this morning while I watch the Food Network and compile my list of things I would never say if I ever had my own cooking show, like "a flavor explosion in my mouth", or "it's the best thing I ever put in my mouth!". Between the sexual innuendos and the mixed up, misquoted cliches, the food shows are difficult to watch sometimes. In my opinion, editors aren't up to the job anymore; writers believe that cliches sell and use it as an excuse to be lazy; and I am worn OUT on competition shows...especially with kids. Maybe I should switch to Netflix for awhile.
Edit: Oh, Birthday Cheers, @Qhrumphf!

Agreed- too many kids competitions lately on food network-

Happy Birthday!

Just outfitted my stir plate with a new fan, Noctua NF-F12. This fan is a beast and 100 time better than the one I originally used. It is super quiet, all I hear is the stir bar on the flask's bottom. I have the 2000ml flask almost full and I still have a nice vortex.

@Qhrumphf Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday dude

Happy bday Qhrumphf! (Hope I spelled that right. I know it sounded right when I said it in my mind and that's what counts right?)

Keasbey is usually the last stop before it goes out for delivery in the morning, so I was a bit surprised to see that update last night. Haven't been outside, but it looks like maybe 8+ and still coming strong, pretty strong winds.

Happy birthday Qumf

happy B-Day @Qhrumphf ! "I want all you skinheads to get up on your feet! Put your braces together and you boots on your feet! And give me some of that oooool' moonstompin'!"

had a bottle of 2015 Chimay Grande Reserve (or Blue Label) and a TG's 1492 last night. I have another bottle of the Chimay in the basement. I should pick up another or 5.
