Peppermint tea and binge watching Archer.
Good to see I'm number 1 on the mass tag post. Psy can no longer hide his true feelings for me.

Crossfitters to me are only one rung below the Marines I know who are so anal about their PT that they will literally train themselves into hospital and medical leave.

My wife mocks me and calls me either a crossfitter or curlbro depending on what I'm doing that day.

U either love it or hate it- I've done it voluntarily and have been forced to do it through employment, I like some aspects of it but overall I don't like the elitism that goes along with it (IMO); when it first started coming out it was similar to work outs that we did in the army but it has become about extremes and not necessarily about effective or proper movements (IMO) but with that being said after doing wall ball, box jumps, killing it on the C2 amd burpees I can't walk for a week. But I personally get better gains and more strength doing traditional lifting or Westside barbell programs

Daughter stayed home sick today and her mother in-law watched the baby, so she could rest. That gave me the day off from Grandpa Daycare, and tomorrow is her "every other Friday off". Grocery shopped today...thought I would get a jump on the snow panickers by going on a Thursday at 10 a.m. Evidently, they hit the stores yesterday...not a single gallon of 1% or 2% milk in the store.

Snow *may* start here overnight, but may not get going until noon tomorrow. If the kids in year 'round school are in school until at least 11 a.m., they don't have to make it up on a Saturday. Instead, without a flake in the sky, school is cancelled.

SWMBO will be pleased, I cleaned out the big freezer and the inside one on the fridge combo...tossed major poundage of old food that had been through a partial meltdown. Now you can actually see what's in both freezers!

Did some say Marines? I used to be on a really strict training once I got out of the service. I probably should be strict like I used to be, I was in hella good shape.

I will have some Pliny soon as well as Blind Pig. I'll let you know when I receive it and maybe we can set something up if no one has chimed in @Brizzo

+1.
I may of become a fat bastard since leaving, but that just means I'll be winded beating down the deserving. My strength is still pretty decent, just carrying around some extra weight

I remember the good Ole days...getting sprayed in the face with pepper spray and running a 3 mile long obstacle course to become certified in the art of ass whoopery. Good times

Have you ever had it fail the test? And is there a remedy (other than more time, which probably wouldn't work if there was too much acid or too hot?)

For this reason, if I use more than 2% acid malt, I'll heat separately and add to main mash after half an hour or so. I've never had it get too hot, but you could add more malt and wait forever. Although I'd probably just proceed and pitch Brett. [emoji3]

140+ posts since this post was made 4 hours ago. You guys are maniacs.

I am in the gym at least 3 days a week, keeping in shape gets harder and harder. I guess that's what aging is all about. I still out do those young cross fit guys. "look at me I can do 30 pull up, when I throw my body into it" One challenged me to dead hangs the other day, he owes me beer now.

Check out the Tao of Pooh. Awesome read that really explains taoism pretty well

Heard about it. There's this book if you want to get way out there in esoteric Taoism. This went hand in hand with my California Kung Fu instructor. Everything is about nothing but fighting these days, these teachings, I feel, are getting lost.

I have never met a single Marine in my life who was not nuts. This might be why.

Seriously, either very uptight OCD down to "may snap and snap your neck at any moment". Somewhere on the scale, but on the scale, and usually at one of the extremes.

Only people I've known (and I've only known a couple) who were crazier were Special Forces (used to work with two former SEALs), and they were BOTH firmly on the "snap and snap your neck at any moment" end.

First off, do you think RR has fundamentally changed the Pliny recipe in the 2 years or so?

Second, 30 pull up?? Easy peasy. Do that every year! 😉

Moar Water. Got my schedule for tomorrow. Bastards have me scheduled until 5. Not happening. Only one job after noon that I can't push back until next week, and I'll see if I can't get the guy pushed forward to the morning. I hate working on the road.

One of my best friends since grade school is an ex-Marine. He doesn't quite fall at either extreme (maybe closer to the OCD side), but there are definitely some underlying personality quirks that were exacerbated by his time in the Corps. :)

Speaking of which, where is @WesleyS , @mcbaumannerb , @finsfan , @ChefRex , @Hello , @1977Brewer , @Qhrumphf , @thatjonguy , @Helly , @DrunkleJon , @BreezyBrew , @GavinC (lol) , @Zekk , @pointcity-homebrew , @mhurst111 , @BigPerm , @hawgwild81 , @Billy-Klubb , @TobyG , @SupervisingChildren , @TheCADJockey , @onetoeddogbrewery , @Fedora , @DisturbdChemist , @BeerMeDuffMan , @blizzard , @wyobrewer1 and @BGBC ?

I'm right here! Decided to work all day without a break to see what everyone was/is doing.

We are not nuts, just misunderstood.

I was attached to a SEAL unit, those dudes are nuts.
