Kegged a brown, why don't I brew more browns? Because browns are boring, at least this one is!
May be a long slog to get though this if I don't dump, which would be a first.
Gave it a splash, might be better once carbed, time will tell, probably not that bad:D

More milk stout.

Definitely do trail runs. With as short a leg as you will tackle, it makes sense to aim at 10ks to get endurance, and trying to move times that way.

Don't be afraid to have to walk uphill during the legs, as that is what a lot of serious (ultra) long distance folks do.

Agreed you should find some races. Maybe a 5k in the spring, then a 10k or two over the summer, up to a 10 miler maybe a month out. Probably don't need a half unless you really want to. Trail runs over road races if possible since that's your final goal.

Thanks guys!

Drop a pound of coarse ground coffee beans in the keg

Make several tinctures - vanilla, coconut, chocolate, Billy-Klubb berries and mix as you drink.

Almost home - ranger

Browns certainly shouldn't be boring.

Recipe?

Sold, I need to burn though some coffee so I can get my new roaster in the game, I had roasted a bit extra in the popcorn popper so I wasn't doing it in the dark and then pulled the trigger.
I want to roast, I need to ROAST!

I was pretty sure you were in with the crop of recent roasters on here. Coffee browns are a weakness of mine, and a pound per 5gal works out pretty well.

It wasn't a well thought out brew, I did a starter of Wyeast 1335 the night before and pitched, never took off, three days later I repitched S-05 as that was available so I shouldn't blame the brown:(

Fins/ Psy is never going to hire me now:D

Let's be honest now...

You pooped in it, and that's why it's brown. Isn't it.
